On the Ground In Battleground OH

First, I don't have numbers. This is just a report based on phone contacts with other people at "red" polling places and with Montgomery County (Dayton) GOP. (Kerry won this county by 2% in 04)

1) ALL the red precincts were extraordinarily heavy until about noon. Some finally calmed down. Turnout was at very, very high levels. 3x the wait time of 2004.

County GOP says we're hearing this from all our red areas.

2) Better news: many of the Dem and African-American precincts coming in way low. They are voted out through early voting.

3) HEARING---this is hearsay from people on the ground in Warren (deep, deep red, which gave Bush his win in 04)---that Warren turnout is "massive."

Ok, heading downtown, and I should have actual numbers later.

When you combine this with the report out of CO, where Dems only have a .8 lead in half a million votes . . . looking good, people. Looking good.

Turnout is very heavy in Southwest Missouri, which is crucial for a McCain/Palin win in Missouri.

Very interesting report. I am going to monitor turnout here in a red county here in Iowa. We know that 40% of Indies have already voted. We are going to get a number on midday turnout.

You guys are choking me up. Here in Blue Wisconsin, we are very motivated, even though our top ticket is probably not going to win here, we need to give our all to get the down-ticket Pubbies re-elected. But reading these reports from Ohio and elsewhere is very gratifying. We are all indebted to you if you help pull this out for Mac and Sarah.

If those numbers hold up in OH, I see McCain taking it tonight. Looks good in CO also.

I voted this morning in Warren County. GOP turnout is indeed through the roof. Visually, it was far in excess of 2004.

The MSM hadn't factored in the Broken Glass Republicans - the turnout is amazing. And then there are the PUMAs. Both of them have been undercounted and dismissed by pollsters, which tells us Obama's high number is way off.

I’m a former Joplin resident. I waited two hours in cold rain to vote against McKaskill. Glad to hear about the turn out.

You know, if Obama loses tonight, Mrs. O'Leary's cow won't have anything on what Democrats will do to Chicago!
