Soledad on CNN - the new America, minority is majority not Joe the Plumber

Posted on 11/04/2008 9:52:20 PM PST by indianyogi

I said a while back, the country as you know is gone because of Whites who do not believe in their own country.

And I am a minority.

Something shattered today deep inside my heart because American value system of heard work, imagine and make it happen is now replaced by feel good, talk big, do nothing, grab other peoples money generation.

Obama embodies all these traits and America got swept away.

I fault president Bush for spending like a drunken sailor.
He never used his veto pen while national debt DOUBLED in 8 years.
I fault secretary Rumsfeld for running a war with a bean counter approach.
I fault GOP voters for nominating the worst possible telegenic candidate in this age of HD Television.

I truly believe it was about the gap between the wealthy and the folks struggling from paycheck to paycheck - (particularly in this economy.) The well-to-do never took the issues of the large struggling lower middle class and lower class seriously. The well to do arrogantly chalked these class struggles up to just not working hard enough. The well to do never took the right steps to try and narrow the gap and the disenfranchised lower class voted for Obama in their own perceived best interests.

McCain could never sell his plan to folks who would not see themselves directly benefiting from his programs. He could not adequately explain why they should be left out of the bailouts in order to do the things that would actually stimulate the economy. He could not explain why tax relief should go to the already well-to-do.

Personaly, I will benefit from Obama’s economic and health plans as touted. There will probably be social and economic spread the wealth programs to assist me. But I chose McCain because I understood that the price of economic relief will be the surrender of freedom. I am so disappointed that my fellow citizens did not see that as well. I feel my generation let my children and grandchildren down. Sad to have lost such a great legacy.

How? Six months from now, opposition speech will be gone.

Talk is cheap. How many of the disillusioned will continue to watch their stupid programs on ABC, CBS, NBC, buy their advertisers products, etc? Money talks but I don't see 55,386,310 voters stopping their feeding at the troughs of entertainment and products.

how many will still have credit cards in six months?

how many will still have jobs in six months?

Obama is focusing on social engineering and deck chair placement.

The ecconomy is SCREAMING FOR FUEL, and obama seeks to sign the ban on drilling.

Obama wants to bankrupt america.

VOICE YOUR OPINION FOLKS, let the lame stream media know they are going to have to keep up their kowtowing permanently. If they only say the same thing, then they are easily replaced by the younger face de jour.

"GW Bush spent money like a drunken sailor, national debt went from 5 trillion to 10 trillion in 8 years...'

Absolute nonsense!

National debt rose about 1.1 trillion under Bush and 1/2 trillion of that was an inherent debt due to the recession decreasing federal revenue from 2000 - 2003. You need to spend some time at the US Treasury website studying the yearly and monthly budget statements of receipts, outlays (on and off budget).

It has nothing to do with white and black and brown. My wife is not white; but she shares the values of hard work and personal responsibility that you and I do. It has everything to do with broken values. Plenty of white people have adopted the Oprah/Brittany Spears/Barak Obama culture as theirs. America broke tonight. But not because of color. It broke because the culture is broken—black, white and brown.

Amen to that. Broken values. The voters have spoken, everyone wants to be taken care of. And be rich and famous. It's ironic really that we as a culture have bowed to the highest god of Independence (you know, from parents, from morals, from personal responsibility, everyone wants to get rich quick, MTV Cribs style) and yet the voters have spoken, what they really want is someone to take care of them nanny style and tell them what to do and how to think. Like spoiled preschoolers.

Add to this list an opponent which outspent McCain about 3:1 and a media which was in the tank for him, and it is amazing the election was as close as it was.

The left controls all the elements of propaganda. When schools indoctrinate rather than educate. When politicians bribe us with our own money thinking someone else is paying for it. When history and civics is not taught in our schools. When guilt and shame is the currency of the day, we get what we got yesterday. Too many conservatives are waiting for a Reagan. They waited for as “leader”. The fact is we must lead ourselves.

And the "Fairness" Doctrine will not apply to them.

“Now what does the GOP need to do regain its popularity? First off we don’t appeal at all to the young voters. The college Republicans at UTA disbanded last year due to lack of participation. When you go to GOP meetings, the people are all over 50.”

1. I know it’s hard work; but every conservative should be homeschooling their children. Public schools and most private schools are the heart of the problem. My wife and I both work full time jobs and manage to do it.

2. We need to start building affordable colleges that are explicitly and proudly conservative.

3. Until the current whoopee burns out, we will appeal to noone. The important thing is to constantly emphasize that Obama and his buds got us into this credit crisis. What are they going to do to get us out. Assignment of blame for the coming hard times will be the second most important thing we accomplish. It has to be squarely pinned where it belongs. America is now Obama’s to break and break it he will. But socialists can never believe that they broke something. It is always someone elses fault. The public has to understand that what is coming is Obama’s and Nancy’s fault.

That’s going to be a long education process. But we need to keep saying it OVER AND OVER for years if necessary. Obama’s accepting funds from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Obama’s refusal over and over to regulate them. Obama’s embrace of Franklin Raines. If you say it enough, it gets thru the noise. Heck, the left did it to Bush with lies. We ought to be able to do it to Obama with the truth.

We have to be saying over and over. The American people have decided to try socialism to solve our problems. We respect but disagree with that decision. This will not work. It will not solve our problems. Big government created the problems. It cannot solve them. That will be come clear and when it does, we are ready to fix things.

Keep predicting problems. Keep pointing out that Obama has complete control of our nation. Failure to make things better is squarely on his shoulders.

3a. Conservatives have to firmly break with RINO republicans. Now’s the time to do it. R’s have no say in the governing of the Republic. So it’s no problem if we have less. We have to convert people to small gvt conservatism, not to Republicanism. The Republican brand name is broken. George Bush and our majority R congress broke it. Maybe it’s time to discard it.

4. We need to start being conservatives again. Small government conseratives. When Obama breaks things, we have to be waiting with the simple argument: “There they go again. Government is not the solution. It is the problem.”

5. Sarah Palin needs to start a four year campaign to increase her stature and profile. Lots of speaking engagements. Lots of contact with the public. A lot like Reagan did between the governorship and the presidency.

Just some thoughts. Short and long term.

She’s another idiot who looks pretty. What the heck? Is she saying minority (black, hispanic) don’t work? That we have no ambition like Joe? This is stupid Marxist class-based thinking; that you are permanently a member of the class you were born in.

Soledad on CNN - the new America, minority is majority not Joe the Plumber

What happens when your idea of reality conflicts with the reality that exists?

Choices are to accept reality or to attempt to impose false reality upon those who live in reality. With the term "new America" you can see what their idea is. Groupthink attempts to impose ideal reality upon others and it always fails.

With disastrous results.
