Kerry wants it, but I agree he won’t get it. Biden considers himself the Secretary of State and will want someone less obnoxious in that position.

OTOH, since the Secretary of State has to travel so much, if you want to get John and Teresa out of town on a permanent basis so that you can have a decent dinner party without them, it might be worthwhile...

Barney Frank won with 72% of the vote. Go figure.

“There are many in the military who will bolt rather than be led by that turncoat.”

Uh, the military is under the scope of the President and Sec. of Defense, not State. Kerry in the Department of Defense would spark quite a backlash. The diplomatic core, contrarywise, would welcome him with open arms.

I’m well aware that the State Depty doesn’t run the military but military people can have an opinion on the Secretary of State as well, and they hate Kerry.

No confidence Sec of Defense will be any better.

Someone here just speculated about Michele Obama as Education Secretary.

Nah, that'll be Bill Ayers.

Shadegg or Flake must be drafted to take his place.

To seriously propose John Kerry for Sec. of State will unleash, I can assure you, a tremendous outpouring of the strongest opposition to such an asinine appointment by veteran organizations and veterans.

John Kerry, simply put, was a traitor and will always remain so. His service and false awarding to himself military decorations was disgusting enough - his apex of deceitfulness came with his traitorous slandering of U. S. military in Vietnam and indeed our nation itself.

Correction: Barney Frank won 72% without opposition. The other 28% were write-ins. My brother is in his district and filled me in on the sorry state of that race.

Actually, for once, Barney did have an opponent. He was on a few local radio talk shows but I’m sure no one in Barney’s district knew or cared who he was.
