Israel 'will attack Iran' before new US president sworn in, John Bolton predicts
John Bolton, the former American ambassador to the United Nations, has predicted that Israel could attack Iran after the November presidential election but before George W Bush's successor is sworn in.

Godspeed Israel. Timing is everything.
If the intent is to do it when GW is president, then they’ll also want GW to handle the aftermath.
I’d bet on between now and first week in December.
It seems befuddling to some people that survival takes on a different hue when it is threatened.
Maybe we should be watching Obama’s face very closely if and when he gives a press conference after his briefing from the CIA today.
Particularly watch his eyes, for these seem to telegraph his mood.
My feeling is that he's going to undergo some personal reality adjustments, once he starts getting the daily briefing. Hopefully, that'll sober him up a bit.
Here’s a possible scenario for you:
1. Israel retaliates to prevent Iranian nuclear capacity.
2. Russia wanting to increase world tension for the purpose of increasing the price of oil, since their economy is so tied to the world price of oil, their only real export, conspires to move against Israel.
3. Iran, wanting both revenge and to increase the price of a barrel of oil, agrees to join a coalition.
4. Other Islamic states join or support so as to be a participant in any spoils and as a show of Islamic solidarity, also agree to join in.
5. All of a Russian led coalition moves against Israel. They consider the US a non-issue because of a brand new president....one who really sympathizes with the Islamics in the first place.
6. Israel, all alone, pulls a doomsday weapon out of its arsenal.
Heaven help the US. An Israeli attack against Iran will inflame the Muslim world including in Iraq and Afghanistan. Our troops could very well become targets along with our embassies. And the region will be destablized causing the price of oil to sky rocket. The US will be blamed regardless of what happens.
