1. Rush will get really fun to listen to again (remember the Lewinski days?)
2. Some liberal news stations are newspapers will surely go bancrupt soon. It's a lot less interesting to watch a supporter than an opponent. Even Rush lost a lot of listeners during the Bush years.
3. If you have a republican work ethic, not many of us will be first in line in case of more economy down turns.
4. We can all go to work to our liberal coworkers and announce to them the newest dumb thing OB has done.
5. Like Rush said "we'll have the pleasure of watching dumb people learn"
6. Our party has been over-run with Rinos, this is our first great opportunity to take it back.
7. This will may bring the end of a lot of race-baiters and white guilt.
8. A certain percent of blacks may wake up and say "wow, if I pull up my pants, and speak with nice English, what can I do with myself?"
9. We've been introduced to Sarah Palin who I think will continue to be a huge cheerleader for our cause.
10. Things can only be better than we're expecting. Things can only be WORSE than the Obamabots are expecting!
Anyone else have any silver linings or words of encouragement for everyone here?
There’s something severely wrong with our educational system if it cranks out 63,893,37 morons (less ACORN frauds) who are unable to distinguish form from substance.
I know. Writing my list was like some weird form of creative self-therapy. Better than hard liquor I guess.

You have a gift for sure! My therapy is wine for tonight and not talking to any idiot that voted for the socialist. I think your therapy is more healthy.
Continue posting good stuff!
I’m going to put so much air in my tires that my truck will roll up hill with the engine turned off. Hmmm, maybe I’ll run for prez with that one, people seem stupid enough to believe it.
Hey, before you get too wasted, can you go up to post 25, hit the link to my orginal thread and bump it? It’s lost in the background noise!
Not too wasted to BUMP!
Megan (my 8th grade daughter) and a few of her friends raise their hands.
Catcalls abound... (good liberal upbringing no doubt)
Some girl next to Megan looks at her and says "You elephant."
Megan looks back at her and says... "You Jackass!"
Just then it was Megan's stop... she smiled, and got off the bus...
THE END
(Don't you just love stories with happy endings?!)
I’m going to have a “Don’t Blame Me, I Voted McCain” bumper sticker made for each of my vehicles and put it on right away....Can’t wait to hear the shrieks of outrage when these idiots realize that they have WAAY less money than they thought they would!
You're kidding! Right?
What is the moral code of altruism? The basic principle of altruism is that man has no right to exist for his own sake, that service to others is the only justification of his existence, and that self-sacrifice is his highest moral duty, virtue and value.
Do not confuse altruism with kindness, good will or respect for the rights of others. These are not primaries, but consequences, which, in fact, altruism makes impossible. The irreducible primary of altruism, the basic absolute, is self-sacrifice--which means; self-immolation, self-abnegation, self-denial, self-destruction--which means: the self as a standard of evil, the selfless as a standard of the good.
Do not hide behind such superficialities as whether you should or should not give a dime to a beggar. That is not the issue. The issue is whether you do or do not have the right to exist without giving him that dime. The issue is whether you must keep buying your life, dime by dime, from any beggar who might choose to approach you. The issue is whether the need of others is the first mortgage on your life and the moral purpose of your existence. The issue is whether man is to be regarded as a sacrificial animal. Any man of self-esteem will answer: No. Altruism says: Yes.
Wild Turkey is taking the edge off nicely.
DH had to go to Atlanta today, and they were NOT rioting... I was SO worried about this trip.
Jessie cried
Interesting! I’ve never read Ayn Rand but have seen lots of quotes.
My volunteer work this year was not for beggars. There was at least a 100 year flood here and over 300 homes were seriously damaged. All of the homeowners except for this latest home were so overly joyed that we were there helping them. This last home, we have spent 7 days there and have only seen the home owners one time and no thanks or help was offered. I will continue to help but I will not do it for people that expect it. I’m going to tell them to ask Obama for help. And I do sleep well at night.
This is Objectivism in a nutshell:
Always act in accordance with the hierarchy of your values and never sacrifice a greater value to a lesser one. Your highest moral purpose is the achievement of your own happiness.
I like how you think!
