Want a dirty little secret? Not many of those celebrators voted, from what I’ve seen so far. The jump in younger voters seems to be a lot less than what the media is touting. (Of course, this is because they only exit poll in cities and college towns.)

I remember when Dick Armey was pushing for tax reform. He wanted to simplify the return to a post card size document. He also wanted to do away with witholding so people knew what they were paying in taxes. He’s the kind of person we need in the next Republican renaissance.

No, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it came to pass. I’m not particularly racist, at least I don’t think I am. But I am getting pretty tired of the first black this, first black that, Obama is going to change the world... etc. All the platitudes because this guy is black.
If he were a white guy named Barry O’Bama with the same resume, he’d still be in the Illinois state senate.
And getting all this race stuff crammed down my throat on a daily basis is making me a bit surly, and a little less tolerant of my “black brothers.” Once Obama begins giving my money to my black brothers, that will ratchet up the tension.

I thought the dress was truely awful - a full southern lady’s “well bless her little heart” kind of dress, but your post made me bust out laughing. Its just too sweet. The best thing I’ve seen since Tuesday. Can I borrow the pictures, please, pretty please.
Two people I work with would be considered conservative in most respects, but they see no problem in taking money from others in the form of welfare or food stamps.
I asked both of them point blank why using the government to take someone else's money to pay for their situation was okay, but stealing it outright from someone wasn't okay. They had a "dear-in-the-headlights" look on their faces.
I asked them how it was okay that if I fought back against a common criminal trying to take my hard-earned money I was doing the right thing, but if I fought the government, I risked the legal loss of property, my rights, my freedom and potentially my life.
They had no good answers.
People who identify more as their sex or race than with being a human being (or soul!) are dangerous. They always think in terms of “us versus the enemy”.
I was privy to some very interesting meetings in the beginning of the “womens’ movement”. It was entirely started by man-hating commie lesbians.
I could care LESS if a woman became president. I want a PRINCIPLED CONSERVATIVE. Man, woman, black, white, brown - I could give a rats patootie. Focusing on getting a “woman” or a “black man” into a position of power is wrong, wrong, wrong.
