They are protesting the majority of the funding for Prop 8 coming from Mormons living in Cali.
Good for the Mormons. Although they will become major targets.

The Mormons provided a lot of funding to promote Proposition 8 (as did the Knights of Columbus)
The protesters seem not to realize that 23% of Obama supporters also voted Yes on 8 also. (Re black and hispanic)

Why are there no cops?
If this were a group of US Citizens protesting Illegal Aliens, the L.A. cops would bring out the tanks and tear gas.
How can anyone live in L.A. ??
Wilshire/Westwood is closed...the offramps are closed, the side streets are closed.... LAPD has 300 officers on this, CHP has hundreds....and Sheriffs have more standing by when they march back to West Hollyweird later.
There are a couple more groups on different streets...there have been several arrests....

The video I was watching had one motor cop in sight.
A long line of cars, 3 lanes, was stuck, turning around very very slowly.

Oh, there are several gay council people...and many gay aids to council people.
I wanna know exactly how this is the Mormon’s fault? Lots of people voted against this... not just Mormons.
Do they realize that the mormons were a very small percentage that voted for it?
I say bring out the fire hoses and the tear gas.
