Since when was the hiring, discipline and firing of local school teachers a responsibility of the President of the U. S.? The federal government has no constitutional authority to meddle in local schools in any way. The U. S. Dept. of Education exists because Jimmah Cahtuh owed a political debt to the NEA, and further because no Republican administration since has had the courage or common sense to terminate it.

I hear you.

I hope this girl’s parents sue the teacher and the school district.

I am furious over this.

This is every bit as much a civil right issue as Black kids attending schools in the 1960s was. Did those issues get resolved without federal government involvement?

You guys want to play softball in every district in the nation, which will only take about 1,235,519,757.25 years to correct.

We have a Justice Department for this. It corrects the problem nationally in a matter of months.

NO TEACHER SHOULD BE COERCING CHILDREN ON MATTERS LIKE WHY THEY WOULD SUPPORT IN AN ELECTION. In my opinion, it should be a federal crime. That’s the long and the short of it.

These kids can’t even vote. This is all pure propaganda from the word go.

NO! Individual parents should not have to confront this in every little berg in the nation. If they did have to, there would be many municipalities where liberals outnumber Conservatives, and the Conservatives would just be forced out of the meeting as troublemakers.

Our education system needed a complete overhaul in 2000, and we all knew it. Bush threw no child left behind at us, and more funding. Who cared if our kids were being indoctrinated?

I can’t quote it precisely either, but it was something like, “Even if we had to stay 100 years, it would be a just cause.”

Ironically, the school probably has a zero tolerance bullying policy.

Bush Derangement Syndrome is a tragic thing. The rudeness in your posts is uncalled for. You can debate this with someone who is willing to put up with it. Done. Finished.

Would you folks please read some history books. Read up on the 1960s and individual school district abuses that took place in the south during that period of time.

Did the federal government step in to put an end to the denial of civil rights or not?

Do our children have a right to be free from browbeating by leftists on our dime or not? This is a civil rights issue.

Why are you so intent on downgrading this as if it didn’t reach the level it does?

Are you happy this takes place? Are you happy children’s civil rights are being abused across this nation? Are you happy our universities have 90% leftists on their professorial staff rosters?

The Justice Department of the United States should be investigating these situations and prosecuting offending teachers. They should also be looking at universities and demanding they get some semblance of balance in them or lose federal funding.

The reason I’m going after Bush on this, is because the President is the person who gives the Attorney General direction.

Tell me, how long would you as Attorney General or President wait before taking on these matters?

If you said more than 48 hours, I’d be surprised.

I would love to question the teacher on National TV about Obama's claim of wanting to help the poor while giving an average of 3% over 8 years and ask her if she could explain the word "hypocrite" to her class.
Then I'd ask her to describe abortion to her students and ask them to guess which candidate supports it 100%.
In ten minutes I could get that class to agree that McCain is the better candidate.
Then I'd ask them why they think their teacher didn't tell them about the bad things about Obama and ask if they thought she was a hypocrite?

This is no ordinary teacher, she is Diantha Harris, the ex-wife of Roy Harris, the man who asked George Bush Sr. in the Rose Garden of the White House, to visit his family in N.Carolina in 1992.

Bush Sr. obliged and accompanied with his wife Barbara, visited the man’s house and spent time talking with his family.

Thank you for the links.
Sent emails out.

I am so mad. The shock of this election is over for me.
I am now angry and ready to fight.

And by the way, this election was stolen. And no one will ever be able to convince me otherwise.

This thug behavior cannot continue.

Our local school board meetings are on a weeknight.

No problem there, but they don’t allow public participation until after midnight. For good reason. They don’t want to hear from the public.

If they see an issue arising, they adjourn for a private meeting until everyone has left the building.

"You were finished before your first bonehead reply, but I do appreciate you making it official."

Your responses to Merlinator were shameful and reflect badly on you and the FreeRepublic. We conservatives have a nearly impossible fight ahead of us to preserve the values of our nation and this requires unity among us if we have any chance at all.

Intemperate attacks against fellow Freepers are not just counterproductive, they support the agenda of our enemies.
