The New Republican Party

Though I quite like the sound of that, it sort-of gives the impression that we failed and are having our New Coke.

Maybe it could in the future. Perhaps some kind of spin-off group.

The New Republican Party?

In many states it is illegal to start a new party using the name of an existing party within its name.

Just a suggestion....I am considering going to CPAC and meeting up with like minded people to implement some such effort. That may be a meeting place to start.

"I like Americans for Prosperity for one...."

"That's a really catchy name; I like it! It may already be in use, however."

It is. Americans for Prosperity is a major conservative group. Their web site is www.americansforprosperity.org

We need a conservative Moveon.org.

FINALLY !!!!!!!!!!! I have been posting for 2 weeks that we need an AGGRESSIVE , in your face PATRIOT organization to fight Obama and the take over of the USA by the Marxist in power. This is massively important. In my opinion this is the last chance we have to save America as we know it. FR is great but sitting here chatting will solve nothing. I’m in NJ and I’m willing to spend time , money and energy to fight for my country. Any ideas ?

Yes, the Republican/conservative brand is seen by many as a group of old school old farts. So who did we put us against Obama , Mc Cain, good move.
We also need to play their game . We have to seize every chance to unload on the left , just as they did to us.we have to be extremely aggressive , sneaky and relentless on every single solitary point and bill the try to force down our throats.

“Dick Morris has touted The National Republican Trust.”

(Wasn’t it “GOP Trust” that Morris discussed? Pretty sure that was the group that made some great last-minute TV ads before the election.)

Join NRA (and Second Amendment Sisters for the ladies).

As for a conservative-type MoveOn group, I think that’s a great idea. We’re always so damn nice and polite it’s sickening. We need to be able to stand firm against the in-your-face cheating that the dems do to “win” elections — but we don’t. So tired of us rolling over, and that complacency is going to be the end of us, if we’re not already history. This crap that’s Franken’s people is outrageous, and when they’ve conjured up enough votes to put him over the top, Coleman will probably congratulate him and walk away, tail between his legs. We’re pathetic.

“I joined Team Sarah last night!”

What’s her position on immigration / open borders? McCain is very liberal on that issue and I was wondering if she was on board with that when she joined his campaign.

Thanks, mimmson - I will check this out. I agree with you totally about the social media. I would add that the older people (age 75+) are still a big voting block and they get their news from ABC/NBC/CBS/CNN/Fox. When conservatives have an opportunity to be interviewed on these shows, they can’t go rambling on and on. The Left knows this - they keep their responses short & sweet and repetitious to the point they’re making. Gingrich is a very smart guy - I just don’t think anyone is going to listen to him after the first 30 seconds if he hasn’t made his point up front. The internet must be used to help the young Conservatives & Boomers out there who rely heavily on the ‘Net. Let’s use the Playbook of the Left for what worked just as they did with the Right.

Conservatives should join the Republican Party, and start selecting NEW Talent, not old codgers for the top spots. The Republican Party needs new blood and talent, and especially at the top spot elections.

I am sure that there is plenty of younger conservative adults to get activated into the Republican Party, and cut out the Geritol Generation such as John McCain , Fred Thompson, etc.

I am sure many new leaders have formed from our Military who have served combatting Terroism, since Sept 11, 2001. Military leaders who have law degrees or other degrees, who would look good on the cover of GQ. It’s time.

All the old Party Hacks need to make it their business to find them and put them in the spotlight and groom them for the future of America.

Get someone who is computer savy, media savy, etc.

Join your local town/city/county GOP committee.

They are currently comprised of patronae hacks and WWII era party bosses.

Throw all those loser OUT and recruit younger people and principled conservatives.

As a Republican who attends the meetings and sees how things are done, the Republican Party is a grassroots organization, you just have to sign up and start actually working for your platform. The Republican party needs new blood, and new ideas, no old codgers need apply.

Everyone always likes to complain about the choices that the Republican Party makes, but no one wants to start working in the Republican Party this year 2009.. for the 2012 election. Most will wait til election year, and then complain. YOU HAVE TO START NOW!

If you would join the Republican Party in your area, attend the meetings. Do the work, and control your own grassroots in New Jersey , then that would be a start. It is HARD work , and no one wants to do the work , because it is does not pay , it is just a civic job that you need to be involved in.
