Most affluent voters key to Obama sweep

Barack Obama promised he would lower taxes for 95 percent of Americans and presumably raise them for the 5 percent who benefited most under President Bush’s tax policies. But, remarkably, the most affluent 5 percent supported Obama and that was perhaps the key to his victory last week.

Certainly I was taken aback with that portion of the exit poll showing McCain losing the 250 grand and above crowd. I remember Bush dominating this voting bloc in 2004 by 2 to 1. IMO it’s more of a symptom rather than the cause of McCain’s failed bid for the WH.

many like rahm emanuel came to congress with very little,

but are now millionaires. why?

fanny mae, freddy mac and countrywide provided money to them, and advice.

Yep by the exit polls Bush won by 63 to 35 in the $200,000 and above bracket. It’s actually 1.8 to 1 but it’s close enough to 2 so I rounded up a bit.
