Gore Says NO to 'Climate Czar' Role
The Washngton Times ^ | 11/13/2008 | Tom LoBianco

President-elect Barack Obama's transition team is flirting with creating a White House "Climate Czar," but climate change crusader Al Gore says he doesn't want the job.

The Obama team declined to comment on such a post, even as environmentalists and power industry executives say it's being widely discussed inside the transition offices as a way to spur a clean energy industry, which Mr. Obama has promised will ween the U.S. from foreign oil and create millions of "green jobs."

Obama transition chief John Podesta promoted a similar idea earlier in his role as president of the Center for American Progress, a liberal Washington think tank.

Mr. Podesta authored a white paper calling for an Energy Security Council within the White House to oversee climate change and clean energy initiatives. The czar and the council would coordinate agencies, including the Energy and Interior departments and the Environmental Protection Agency.

At least we are spared regularly scheduled gas-baggery from him and will only have to be exposed to it occasionally.

He doesn’t want to be put in any position where he can be held legally accountable for ‘The 6 Trillion Dollar Scam’.
Because he knows, that likle with all other cases where the Public is defrauded, the truth will out. And when the Terror comes, he doesn’t want to end up like so many of his ancestors did...having his head forced into the Guillotine.

Pay cut?

Yep. There's lots of money to be made in scamming the gullible about global warming.

I guess being one of Obama's advisors doesn't pay as well as demagoguery.

As for Gore not buying into this scam, at least one bit of good news from the political ticker.

Al Gore not buying into the scam? - he has stock in the scam:

he would actually have to be accountable for what he does and have to answer for his idiocy.

I think you've identified it. Gore refuses to debate any of his Global Warming nonsense, and on the public payroll he would eventually have to in some form.

By scam I meant Obama’s Czar scam, not the fact that Gore gets richer by the day from his warming gimic.

In 2001 Gore was hired as a consultant by Google CEO Eric Schmidt, who you may recall is also a big Zer0 supporter.

Schmidt had 3.5 million options, which from 2005 to 2007 were valued between $900 million to as much as $2 billion.

How many options do you think Gore was granted in 2001?

I’d guess 10,000 to 100,000, meaning $30 million to $70 million at the low end, up to $300 million to $700 million at the 100,000 mark.

I’d guess that Al Gore is a very wealthy man.

Gore knows he only has a small window left to cash in on his ‘carbon credit’ swindle before the whole thing implodes.

If he were to be the “czar” he might be put in a position of having to publicly debate his stance on global warming, and he couldn’t have that! No surprise he didn’t want the job.
