Example: "Ayers was a co-founder of the Weather Underground, a radical anti-war group said responsible for a militant bombing campaign against government targets."
That description puts Ayers and the Weather Underground just a few steps beyond the Humane Society and the Boy Scouts.
In fact the WU was an explicitly violent Communist/Marxist group that (for the very reason of its credo of violence) broke off from the SDS to advocate mass murder and the complete and forcible destruction of American society and the American government.
IMO the live TV interview was much more direct and honest and critical of Ayers. He looked somewhat uncomfortable.

The Chicago Tribune today, 2nd page has a story about Ayers and Obama as FAMILY FRIENDS!!!!! I detest the PRAVDA in our country.

Well, you have to understand, our terrorist government was murdering 2,000 innocent Vietnamese a week. So said Bill Ayers.
Would it have been so difficult to hold up the recent photo of Ayers stomping on Old Glory? Or ask him if he still calls himself a “small c communist?” Of if he expected no casualties from the twin nail bombs he designed to go off at the Fort Dix O-club dance?

Ayers writes exactly that (”family friends”) in his book.
Yeah, that's what the MSM used to say about Timothy McVeigh - they said he was a "bogeyman" for the Clintons...
The only good thing about biased, bigoted, brain-dead, one-sided reporting is it's one more lay-off down the road...
Well, their limp symbol is better (and more representative for a little wimp like Ayers) than the Weather”men’s” three finger sign, which Mrs. William Ayers, then trash-terrorist Bernadine Dohrn, hailed as representing the Manson Gang’s fork that they stuck in their innocent victims’ stomachs. As Mrs. Ayers then said, “Dig it!!”, not mentioning of course, that one of the “pigs” she said Manson murdered was a near-term baby. Wonder if Chris Cuomo asked this scumbag about that? Doubt it.

My comparison was not meant to critique the Boy Scouts (heck, I was one!) but to point out the puffery in the written summation of the TV interview above.
It’s a gem of flackery and a shameless puff piece IMO.

He has admitted in public that he “got away with it.”
The case was dropped on a technicality (FBI evidence procedures).
Yes, he should be in prison.
But Ayer’s father was a **very** prominent and influential man in Chicago.....
