>>>>>Bill Ayers’ former “girlfiend”, Diana Oughton, .... blown to bits in 1970 while making a nail-dynamite bomb they intended to set off at an NCO dance at Fort Dix that very evening<<<<<<

I’m sure Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn didn’t know anything about this plan. //double sarc

to demonize me

Bill, as an english professor, you should know that is a tautology. You can't demonize a demon.

>>>>>I am really surprise he, and especially Dohrn, are still alive.<<<<<

That’s a testament to the civility of Americans and our general respect for the rule of law.

Both are attributes of our country which Ayers and Dohrn completely reject, yet they remain alive because of them.

>>>>>>Weathermen and SDS were not primarily anti-war, that was one weapon in the arsenal they were using to overthrow the US government by violence. Bombs, threats, protests killings, etc were all part of their bag.<<<<<<

Exactly! They were Communists committed to the overthrow of the government of the United States.

They were advocates and practitioners of the mass murder of Americans.

The Vietnam war was merely a dramatic foil for their murderous and seditious Commuunist-inspired activities.

I am utterly convinced that Ayers and Dohrn were and remain of the same ilk as Pol Pot and his peers.

I can easily see Ayers and Dohrn nodding their heads at the Khmer Rouge saying, "To keep you is no gain. To kill you is no loss."

Their political views aside, the chief difference between Timothy McVeigh and Billy Ayers is that McVeigh had sufficient personal courage to act upon his beliefs. Billy was just a wannabe...a poseur who let others take the risks. Now, years later, Billy continues to pose and preen, and to feed upon the adulation of a society that he despises. In a wiser world, we’d call Billy Ayers a parasite, and deal with him accordingly.

>>>>>This man is reprehensible. He should be shunned and avoided. <<<<<<<

I know, but he’s an unresolved piece of history which has not had closure or most specifically, justice.

The man should be rotting in prison, and so should his “wife.”

I think you have it nailed.

And don’t forget Mark Rudd, who’s hiding under his teaching job at a New Mexico community college. He also never went to prison.

If someone were to take that P.O.S. out and hang him from a streetlight so we could all pass by and spit on his corpse, I’d consider that person a national hero.

love how the very last sentence in the article is

Obama and Ayers have several connections. The two men have also served on boards together, including the Woods Fund of Chicago and the Chicago Annenberg Challenge.

Now that the election is over, they can bring this up. If McCain ever just peed in the next urinal over from Timothy McVeigh, it would have been front page news for weeks.

"It's not terrorism because it doesn't target people, to kill or injure," Ayers insisted.

So... if the World Trade Center had been unoccupied on the morning of 9/11, it would not have been a terrorist attack, right?

Terrorism is the use of violence to freak people out enough that certain political (or religious, in the Islamists' case) ends are accomplished. Doesn't matter if nobody gets killed or injured in the attack.

The media is STILL hiding the fact that Ayers and 0bama were in New York together from 1982-85. They studied a quarter mile apart and had mutual friends.

0bama could even have lived with Ayers, we don't know, because 0bama has sealed his records and won't answer questions.

I've been trying to find a link you'd enjoy - it was about coward Bill Ayers calling the Chicago police for protection. Seems the little creep got some threats that someone wanted to waterboard him - and another person ( or two or a thousand) wanted to kill him. The lieutenant deadpanned that he'd be better off this the killer got to him first...

Sorry I couldn't find it - you would have loved it. It's Ayers at his cowardly best... and the police at their best - funny, professional, and dismissive... I don't believe in people taking the law into their own hands, but I'm thrilled that Ayers will spend some serious time looking over his shoulder.

i wish!
i think we are going to see a lot more of him over the next 4 years.
have you seen some of the posts on ayers youtube talks at colleges? or try amazon.com...its a love fest over this man!
check this one out:
“This book is one of many essential guides for the beginning teacher. Ayers experience embodies the the moral and ethical duties of what our future educators need to know in order to prepare the adults of the future.”

this was just one of many comments about ayers book "To Teach: The Journey of a Teacher" and most if not all were educators, or future ones. scary thought aint it? how long until his books are required reading for educators?
i hope he goes away, but i have a feeling this is just the beginning for ayers....

If he’s really that concerned he can dig into his trust fund and hire 7x24 protection from Blackwater.

Hey! The remaining filthy rich Khmer Rouge leaders all have bodyguards! Why not Ayers?

It's an option - but what if one of the "blackwater" guys gets cancer - and decides "why should I go out alone when I can take this scumbag with me"? I don't know if I would want to be a baddie protected by a decent person with nothing to lose...
