Jefferson in La., continues to be re-elected even though his is a disgrace for a congressman and or a human being. Felon is a requirement for a democommmie running for office in their bizarro world.
Your right though, Stevens needed to go and a good house cleaning of the Rinos is in order.

Get a grip. We have term limits everytime we vote. What we have now is a problem that Germany had leading into WWII. It’s not who votes that matters, it’s who counts the votes that matters.
You’re just another one without a clue, listening to the MSM. if you were actually familiar with his history, you may have a different outlook. Willing to bet with Begich assuming the seat, all the charges will most likely fade away.
I wish we could have held the seat with another Republican in his place, but as far as Stevens is concerned: go to jail, go directly to jail.

Unfortunately, our day is already here. We now have a democrat governor, two democrat senators, and we just voted for the democrat presidential candidate for the first time in 44 years. More and more illegal aliens and liberal northeasterners pour into our state every single day. In other words, we're in big trouble.
Anyway, I have absolutely no idea what any of this has to do with the fact that Ted Stevens got convicted of seven felonies for not disclosing his goodies from Bill Allen and company. Even had he held on against Begich, there's absolutely no question whatsoever that he was going to receive a humiliating expulsion from the Senate by his own colleagues. I also think there's almost no chance whatsoever for him to win on appeal. His only hope in my opinion is for a blanket pardon from Bush, which is a distinct possibility given that Bush is just as much into cronyism as Stevens himself.
Ted Stevens certainly had a great ride, but it's all over now. It's time to move on.
