out of curiosity, what is the readership of The Washington Times? In other words, does an ad in this effective?

“That’s what Philip J. Berg has asked the United States Supreme Court to verify. The Supreme Court has asked for a response from Senator Barack Obama along with the Democratic National Committee and Federal Elections Commission. And they have until December 1st to respond.”

Is this true? The Supreme Court has asked for a Dec 1 response?

With other words, that would be a sentence! =)

No. The Washington Times is like the Fox News of national papers, except that it has the circulation of National Review.

The only people who will see this already agree with it. The 65 million people who voted for Obama don't want to hear about this even if he isn't a nat born citizen.

In answer to the ad, NO! the Constitution does not matter to the majority of those who voted in 2008.

with all due respect, it’s my understanding that the Wash Times is extremely suspect with other media types because of who owns it. I don’t see the paper as a joke but the Wash times is looked upon as a joke of a paper by many others. I highly doubt this will stir any other papers to join the cause for confirmation of Obama’s citizenship. The major lame scream media will do nothing to hurt Obama. They will not let him fail and if he does, they will cover for him.

As I have written before the FIX IS IN.

From Wikipedia:
The Washington Times is a daily broadsheet newspaper published in Washington, D.C., the capital of the United States. It was founded in 1982 by Unification Church founder Sun Myung Moon. The Times is known for its conservative stance on political and social issues. As of March 31, 2007, it had an average daily circulation of 102,351,[2] about one-seventh that of its chief competitor in Washington, The Washington Post.

Back when I was a kid (long time ago, I'll admit!) I spent a year in Washington, and I always thought the "other paper", the Evening/Sunday Star, was head and shoulders above the Post.

But the Post caters to a different clientele, so what appeals to normal people wouldn't turn the trick for the Post's subscriber list.

Too bad. I'm hoping the Times stays around, and is healthy enough, until we can get the Palin administration in 4 years hence!

Leo was on Prarie Radio and Lan’s show last night. Super guy. Gary Creep doing the Keyes case was on Prarie after Leo. Leo gave Gary suggestions on how to improve their case and to get it to the CA Supreme Court ASAP.

It seems Gary’s group needs money to improve their effort. Leo is not wealthy and he is doing it out of his pocket.

We need to call all the conservative radio talk show hosts to get Leo and Gary on their shows.

Leo Donofrio's Case from your link:

“When Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4,1961, in Honolulu, Kenya was a British colony, still part of the United Kingdom’s dwindling empire. As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject whose citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948. That same act governed the status of Obama Sr.‘s children.

“Since Sen. Obama has neither renounced his U.S. citizenship nor sworn an oath of allegiance to Kenya, his Kenyan citizenship automatically expired on Aug. 4,1982.” That is a direct admission Barack Obama was a British citizen “at birth”.

“My law suit argues that since Obama had dual citizenship “at birth” and therefore split loyalties “at birth”, he is not a “natural born citizen” of the United States. A “natural born citizen” would have no other jurisdiction over him “at birth” other than that of the United States. The Framers chose the words “natural born” and those words cannot be ignored. The status referred to in Article 2, Section 1, “natural born citizen”, pertains to the status of the person’s citizenship “at birth”.

His argument reminds me of the Missing 13th Amendment: Titles of Nobility -- which was supposedly adopted as an amendment to the Constitution in 1819 but then abandoned after the Civil War. It was drawn up to prevent those with divided loyalties/ties/etc to any foreign power [aimed mainly at Great Britain at the time] from any position in the United States Government and the penalty was forfeiture of citizenship.

Time to put this baby to bed. Ann was a citizen and met the residency requirements and the age requirements. The fact that 1961 law required 10 years of residence at least 5 of those after tha age of 14 was rendered moot by congress when they passed the current law retroactive to 1952 requiring residency for 5 years 2 of which must be after the age of 14.

The only challenges remaining seem to be a.) the question as to whether Congress had the power to change the law retroactively and b.) whether his enrollment in Indonesian school as an Indonesian citizen negates his natural born citizenship.

No court is going to overturn this election. Time to move on.

Wrong. Souter merely denied the request for an injunction; the case still awaits response from the Obama camp. No ruling has been made as to the validity of the claim itself.

What a complete waste of time and money and message.

Like Ms. Palin said, we rock-solid conservatives will find it very hard to win back public trust by trying to be “Negative Party” or “Conspiracy Party”.

What does this lawsuit and political-hit-job achieve? Fox ran this day in day out and still Mr. O won a landslide.

Cant we just get the message: People dont care about conspiracies or negativities. They want solutions to their everyday problems.

I firmly believe that its such tactics that will make it harder for us to regain the political dice.

Instead of re-grouping with a solid agenda, here we are being conspiracy theorists, negative laden and fear mongering.

I for one think there is a holistic message of purpose and solid credentials in the conservative principles. And I dont mean the Bush, McCain or Dole ones. I mean the true conservative Buckley principles.

We were foolish to have allowed our party to put forth candidates who dont gell with our message and principles. For 20 years, we have put candidates on the ballot who are “conservative light” and who dont stand for nothing:

- Bush 1 in 1988 and 1992
- Dole 1 in 1996
- Bush 2 in 2000 and 2004
- McCain in 2008

And we have got blamed for all the past 20 years of excesses that the “Conservative Light” candidates made.

Such “conservative light” candidates relied on Atwater or Rovian or Hannity tactics to win our primaries and represent our messages. And we are paying for having fallen for that trick within our very own party.

The problems of our party are not the RATS or the country. The problems is within the party. We have different versions of Conservative Light facing in and out. Its time to stack the deck, roll the dice and let the chips fall where they may.

If 2010 comes around and we are still promoting such campaigns like Berg’s and Keyes (who knew O from Chicago), we shall perform even much worser.

At the rate things are going, looks like some of us are going to seat out the next election.

If it was discovered Obama is not eligible to be President (if in fact that is true) what is the legal recourse if this is discovered under the following circumstances:
1. It is discovered before the electoral college meets in December.
2. It is discovered after they meet and elect Obama as President but before inaguration.
3. It is discovered after he is sworn in as president.

Whom would become President? Biden? Pelosi, the horror of that thought boggles the mind. McCain?

I would suspect we would be in uncharted constitutional waters.

At first I thought the Birth Certificate issue was a Red Herring put out by the Obama camp to set up the conservatives as crazies and then prove it by producing a legitimate BC showing him as being born in Hawaii. He did not do this and still resists producing the BC showing him as being born in Hawaii. There is nothing for him to gain politically at this time in not producing a legitimate BC showing his birth in Hawaii. SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT!

The logic of Oscams Razor "one should not increase, beyond what is necessary, the number of entities required to explain anything" would indicate he is not eligible to be President of the United States

No, no. no, this is not "uncharted constitutional waters." I've written repeatedly posted the comment that people should look at what happened when Horace Greeley died after the popular election and before the Electoral College met.

Greeley's Electors were then freed to vote for whomever they chose, and they did exactly that. If Obama's Electors were freed, because it was established in STATE courts that he was ineligible to run for President, they would probably coalesce around Hillary Clinton and elect her as President.

Biden would still be Vice President because he is qualified for that office, and was on the ballot for that office. See Amendment Twelve. Pelosi would have nothing to do with it, because there would be both a President and a Vice President.

Dammit, folks. Read the Constitution. Crack open a history book. These are only "uncharted waters" for those who ignore both the Constitution and our history -- like most members of the MSM. Don't descend to that level.

I do understand the electoral college would deal with it if discovered prior to college meeting in December. My area of inquiry is what would happen if it is discovered after the meeting or after swearing in?

You are correct about our Fore Fathers giving us a masterfull document on which to build a nation. Our troubles as a great nation occur when we ignore and violate this document at the judicial, legislative and executive levels.

As Franklin said, “A Republic if you can keep it!”
