The Next Crisis - Africa
Washington Times via FRONTPAGE MAGAZINE.com ^ | Friday, November 21, 2008 | Richard W. Rahn

Posted on 11/21/2008 2:56:55 AM PST by Cindy

The recent drop in oil and other commodity prices makes it almost a certainty that some unstable commodity-exporting nations will reach a crisis stage in the next few months. The only question is, which countries are likely to erupt first?

The Middle East is always a safe bet for an explosion, but there is a very good chance the next eruption will be in Africa, with the most likely location being Congo, followed by Sudan. In Latin America, Argentina is headed for another debt default and financial meltdown, and Venezuela continues to rapidly deteriorate. And there is Russia, which is likely to react poorly as its once booming economy goes into to a sharp recession. Pressures will mount on the United States to become involved, particularly in Africa, as mass killings begin again.

More neocon blather.

Build the fence.

All these people wanted "self-determination", as far as I can determine so that they can practice genocide on each other.

Fine by me. Let 'er rip.

Leave us out of it.

Last I heard, the UN is fixing everything. Seems they are doing a fine job,(sarc in case you didn’t notice) with another 3,000 troops on the way. Don’t ask me where they get troops from, as long as they aren’t ours I don’t really care.
prob. Islamic butchers from somewhere, doing their part to add further injury to refugees.

B...but I thought the problem with the US was that we never minded our own business. Oh, I get it. We do only what our superiors tell us to do, as in Europe telling us which wars to fight and what bills (of theirs), to pay. However, now that we’ll be led by the great one, Hussein,(for those of you in Rio Linda), pressures will certainly mount to send US troops to Africa asap, plus meals on wheels.

Helping Africa is complicated. It’s not PC to say they need a human genome upgrade, but they do, as do most of the Arabs. Throwing money at them doesn’t help — and sometimes even digging a well causes problems. We need to think long and hard before doing anything. No ‘feel good’ stuff. (Don’t even mention Bill Clinton and Rwanda and his lies on the airport runway about having no idea genocide was going on. ‘It certainly wasn’t his fault’.)

My main point is that what we want won’t matter. Libs under Hussein have already decided Africa is the right place for us to squander lives and lucre.

Ah, yes, thank you Senator Barney “lisping, mincing fool” Frank and Senator Chris “turkey wattles” Dodd. How does it feel to have crashed the global economy? A feeling, I'm sure, few have ever experienced.

Africans, and Arabs, kill each other because they are so far behind on the evolutionary scale it's not even worth talking about. The genome upgrade is definitely in order.

My concern is that we don't “import” this trash, and the logical politically disasterous consequences, by either allowing them to immigrate (legally or illegally), or by getting involved in their national pissing contests. Killing each other is just what they do and they've become extremely adept at it. Period.

Don't forget "Daddy Warbucks" Paulson...or maybe it should be "Daddy OURbucks" Paulson.

And, wonder-boy obama - remember he got the 2nd highest payout from Fannie/Freddie...right behind Dodd.

Yes, and in about one twenty-fifth as much time, did Obama extort that “second highest” amount from Fannie/Freddie. It just has to be a record for political graft! For a man who was in the Senate 140+ days, it was a coup of internationally recognized proportions! NOT! (”Recognized”, I mean.)

particularly in Africa, as mass killings begin again

This is silly, Mass killings "began" a long time ago and have not stopped, haven't even abated much since the Rwanda stuff died down a bit. They are continuing in the Eastern Congo right now. It is simply the African way of life.

A detroit radio station called the Kenyan embassy after the election of Obama. After a lot of trouble they get through to the ambassador of Kenya.

The ambassador of Kenya says that obama was born in Kenya and that his birth place has become a national shrine.

Listen to the recording here

Be sure to download the recording as well. The chances of it remaining online for long are remote.
