I suppose BHO might eventually say that he meets the requirement of Article II section I in "spirit", just not in the actual letter of the Law.

It matters because the constitution matters.

I’m beginning to think nothing matters.
Yeah, I know, don’t give up the ship.

If Obama knows himself to be ineligible, that would mean that he has sought an office he knew he could not attain legitimately. I do not doubt that many people would rather appease such a person than risk the riots that would result from disqualifying him. Unfortunately, there are precious few cases in history of a person taking office via intimidation and then relinquishing it voluntarily.

BTW, what would happen if Biden were to demonstrate his own eligibility for office and demand that he act as President until such time as Barack Obama proved his eligibility, whereupon he would hand over the reins to Obama? That would seem to fit squarely with what the Constitution would demand.

What I worry about is that every law that he signs into law would be subject to challenge. This would undercut our foundation of Law.

Plausible deniability. Who has retrievable memories of where they were the day they were born? If you grew up with people telling you you were born in “x”, you grow up believing you were born in “x”.
At the same time, how many of us have been told we were born in “x” but have a grandma in Kenya giving interviews saying you were born in “y” because she witnessed the birth?
If it were me, I’d damn want to know exactly where I was born, x or y?

The sad thing is many of those same cowards who are afraid of riots are right here on FR.

Who will the military obey?
If 0bama isn’t eligible to hold office, he’s an illegitimate Commander-in-Chief.
In such a case the military would have no cause to follow anything he says.

FTA “When we “rationalize” that requirement to the ash heap of history we can all rest assured that our freedom and liberty will soon follow.”
It looks like the requirement to be a natural born citizen is going into the cirular file.
And after they take the 2nd Amendment from us, taking everything else we have, every material thing and every spiritual thing like freedom and liberty, will be easy.
It’s the socialist way! And a communist is just a socialist that really means it. Zero really means it. We are in a heap of trouble.

We need a FR clock showing the number of days that OB refuses to release his documents.

He knows where he was born.
The Kenyan government is keeping everyone away from the family.
The illegal aunt is now protected from the media. If she's deported, she may talk. If she's not deported he's harboring a fugitive.
He went to Hawaii to ensure that there were no documents in his grandmother's house to spill the beans.
Some court or legal authority here has to compell him to release the documents.
The last resort is public pressure and the historical record of continuing fraud allegations.
I'm lobbying for a FR calendar saying so many days since he has refused to release the documents.

Were you part of the original O.J. jury?????
The burden of proof is on Obama, not the rest of us. He has to prove his Constitutional eligibility for the office of President, not us. If he can't do that, well it sucks to be him.
That is why the United States and other countries have a system of registering births, so there are doctors, hospitals, and other witnesses to provide a evidence that you were, in fact, born at a certain time and a certain place. Pretty simple concept, and a system that has proven to be legally valid and certifiable and required for everything from entering school, getting a passport, to applying for Social Security.
That is why we want to see the document the Governor of Hawaii has under seal. That's all, we just want to see it. Not a big request. Not an expensive request. Not an illegal request...we just want to see it.
Show us the papers.

they operated, intellectually, at a grade 24 level I'd be interested in knowing how that was determined. It doesn't appear to have been explained in the article and I have a feeling the author may be functioning on less than a full compliment of grade levels himself. 0bama, if he is able, will be sworn in on Jan. 20. Get used to it.

Plausible deniability. Who has retrievable memories of where they were the day they were born? If you grew up with people telling you you were born in x, you grow up believing you were born in x. Barack Obama claims to have seen his birth certificate. Hawaii claims to have his birth records on file (but declines to say what they contain). Plausible deniability is difficult.
