I live here in the DC metro region. Its not unusual in January for a NorEaster(however you spell it) to show up. Think lots and lots of snow & ice with wind. Just think, a little weather system parked off the coast of Maryland just spinning and spinning dumping all kinds of wintery goodness on The One and his worshipful hordes. Heh!! Good times ensue!!

Could happen.

Why would anyone take their family into such a den of seditious socialist trash and potential terror.

It should indeed be a cold day in hell.....

Blind devotion or idiocy. Take your pick.

I'm praying for a mini tsunami to take out the grandstand and all of Congress just as the Marxist Fraud is being sworn in.

No strollers makes perfect sense.
Barry wants to celebrate.

Not feel sorry for someone who has been punished with a baby.

For this number of attendees...to somehow get into the Washington region...if they used 3,000 public buses and brought in the military...it’ll still be an impossible task.

Jan 20 will be on a Tuesday, with the inauguration ceremony at noon. Daily commuter traffic in and out of DC is around 400-500K, so they will need to deal with six times normal commuter traffic.

They have scheduled overtime for all the mass-transit workers, and will be supplying rush-hour-level service from 4am to 7pm on the day. I don't think this will be enough.

DC will be much more of an insane zoo than usual.

Note to self: Self defense against attack by fresh fruit not allowed in DC...

Maybe Barry is planning Jan. 20 to already proclaimed Obama National Holiday.

Let us not underestimate the audacity factor.

Inauguration is apparently set to be a 4 day weekend in DC (I guess they figured it would make setting up easier without commuters to worry about)

This is the same list that’s been used for previous inaugurations and many DC-area events with large crowds. Also, Metro will turn off its escalators to ease the crowd flow and to minimize accidents going up and down the subway system.
