I pray for many things. A downpour does count...

A thunder storm with a strong down pour would work for me.

Its hard to see how people will make it in this fiasco. For this number of attendees...to somehow get into the Washington region...if they used 3,000 public buses and brought in the military...it’ll still be an impossible task. Then you start with simple rules like no baby strollers? No backpacks? No thermoses (in the midst of winter)? No umbrellas?

If there is any snow at all...this will be the most miserable experience possible for folks. People who think they will watch the entire event and attempt to leave around five PM....will find that nothing is really moving...and they won’t get out of the city until 8AM the next day...and be starving unless the military hands out rations and biscuits.

If there is any terrorist action at all in DC on that day...it’ll take the public there at least twenty-four hours to get back to their car parked eight to twenty miles away. What a mess!

That list sounds pretty standard I thought.

This should help keep things nice and orderly.

The D.C. Council is considering legislation today that would allow bars to serve alcohol until 5 a.m. -- three hours longer than current regulations allow -- and remain open 24 hours a day from Jan. 17 through 21 to serve crowds in town for the inauguration.

For all the global warming types, an arctic blizzard would be delightful.

People who are (unfortunately) incontinent should be fine. They didn't list a toilet paper or bathroom restriction.

"If there is any snow at all...this will be the most miserable experience possible for folks."

Just a warm-up for the enforced misery of the next four years.

Repressive and not to mention silly as well...

Knives make it easier to cut an apple. A walking stick or cane helps those who aren't fleet-of-foot. An umbrella during inclement weather goes without saying. They're going to have President-Elect Obama positioned behind impenetrable Lexan shielding and thousands of security personnel. Why are they worried about someone with a Leatherman multi-tool on his/her person? Very bizarre.

No. They wanted him elected as president, but once he’s president he’ll be the head of the Great Satan as far as they’re concerned. It’s kind of like how McCain was the darling of the left so long as he was giving his fellow Republicans the shaft, but as soon as he won the nomination he became their enemy and they didn’t pull any punches. Alqaeda wanted us to elect obama only because they saw him as a weaker enemy and since we now appear weak I expect them to try to hit us harder than ever.

I mentioned “Repressive” in a fecitious way. It is all about “Controlling the masses”. But the “Masses” don’t know it yet. But they will find out soon.
