Wait a moment: I thought McLame was “too old”? Why is it that the Demonrats always replace U.S. Senate seats with old guys, like Lautenberg in New Jersey?

In the Senate, all you need to do is vote. That just takes pushing a button. If Jones is selected, it will be because he's old and will probably not run for reelection, freeing Blago from the kind of crap he'd otherwise get from Jackson, Jr. and the others who want the seat.

Jones is the OPENLY CORRUPT Amos and Andy-like South Side Chicago Machine state senate president who was—with the likes of Wright, Ayers and Pflegler—one of Obama'schief patrons. Arguably Jones was the most important, since he had enormous clout within the corrupt democratic party combine.
