General Motors Corp on Monday unveiled an unusually frank advertisement acknowledging it had "disappointed" and sometimes even "betrayed" American consumers as it lobbies to clinch the federal aid it needs to stay afloat into next month.

Hold on to it, it may become a collector’s item.
It’s amazing what people will say for $$$B
More like “we’re in the middle of betraying you right now.”
“We suck. Invest in us. Or else.”
Sigh...yeah, I know.
Damn shame, because its a ball to drive, especially long distance. The ride is great, most comfortable vehicle for a long drive I’ve ever had the pleasure to ride in.
But there is no denying 12 mpg is..well, 12 mpg.
I’m going to miss it. Lease is up in June.
Not good enough. Get down and lick my boots.
Remember: You can’t spell BOHICA without B.O.
So we can F--- you all over again in the future.
No thanks, fool me once, SHAME ON YOU, fool me twice, SHAME ON ME. I refuse to make that mistake again.
GM and the UAW can go to hell.
Maybe this explains why American cars suck. I can remember when the Mustang was a great car. Now its just a "chick car."
The best car I ever owned was a '76 Pontiac Firebird.
Riiiiight.
Fix my: 1972 Firebird, 1976 Seville, and 1978 Grand Am (all of which quit on my too many times to list).
Those were my last GM (and American) cars.
The sum total of problems on ALL of my Japanese cars were less than the problems during one month on ANY of my GM junk.
Bite me GM. Bite ME UAW.
Typical...We need money and your the best, most prettiest customers in the world !
Wagoner, the present day Peter Lorre from the movie, “Casablanca.”
Not good enough. Get down and lick my boots.
You’re right. Not good eneough. It’s not good enough for me either after I bought a Saturn piece of crap instead of a Honda. It went through oil like crap through a duck. Maybe they’d like to give back come of the 18k that paper weight cost me.
Just my two cents...but I really don’t care for an apology. It was us who asked for the GM trucks and SUVs. We were the ones who were happy with vehicles that got 18 mpg. We were the ones who bought a 12-passenger SUV when we had only a 4-member family. We were the ones who asked for a four-door pick-up with a 8-cylinder engine. We were the ones that asked for vehicle names that we could not pronounce. We were the ones that committed most of the screw-ups here.
GM could say they were sorry for allowing the UAW to overprice their workers or allowing the unions to dictate benefit packages that required prices that were ten percent more than what we should have been paying.
The apology that I would prefer...is from the house and senate...but they won’t dare offer that. So instead, I’ll just sit here and dream of a world with Ford and GM...minus Chrysler. Maybe it’ll be a better world....but I seriously doubt it. And my final comment? Anytime that a senator walks around telling you who should be CEO or not be CEO of a company....maybe the shoe should be on the other foot.
Reminds me of a wife-beater coming home after he sobers up.
“Yeah, I know baby, I’m a piece of crap. A real gopher turd. But let me tell you what, I’m goan change. I’m goan change, I’m gonna quit the hooch, I ain’ never goan touch dat white lightnin’ again, and I promise baby, I’ll never hitcha, I promise. I know I’m just an old dried up duck dropping, but boy wontcha give a good ol’ boy that lovesya another chance?”
A week later she’s in the ICU with a broken zygomatic arch. Let them go broke, but not until I can sell my 9 shares of Ford that I bought only because I had $32 in my Scottrade account.
Watch out when you return the leased vehicle — If your kid left a bugger on the seat you’ll get a bill for excess damage about November and they won’t be able to tell you what the damage was. You will still have to pay the $600.
So put your hands back in your friggin pocketses and go bankrupt/reorganization and spank those union contracts.
Your idiots are going to have your business run by the nimrods of the goobermint, and one day you will regret this move.
I love my Saturn. The thing runs like a top and has never had a problem. Now, I hear that GM wants to sell-off Saturn...
