The corruption arrest of Gov. Rod Blagojevich is raising questions about what Sen. Barack Obama knew of the Illinois Democrat's alleged activities, including his apparent offer to appoint Obama's preferred candidate to serve in the U.S. Senate in return for "private sector" help from Obama.
"This is a burgeoning crisis for Obama that should shake his presidency to its core," said Tom Fitton, chief of the Judicial Watch organization today.
"The criminal complaint filed today indicates that Obama and his team knew about Blagojevich's efforts to sell Obama's Senate seat," he said.
"Did Obama report Blagojevich to investigators about any efforts to sell his Senate seat?" Fitton asked.
ABC's Jake Tapper also expressed concern over the same issue.
On his blog, he wrote that while appearances seem to indicate Obama "refused to go along with the 'pay to play'" Blagojevich plan, there were significant questions.
For example, he wondered "how Blagojevich knew that Mr. Obama was not willing to give him anything in exchange for the Senate seat with whom was Blagojevich speaking? Did that person report the governor to the authorities?"

I don't know. But the Clintons sure as hell do.
Obama probably only bumped into the Governor once or twice and never really knew him or talked to him. Good enough for the MSM.
I suppose Fitzgerald will now try to turn Blago.
Blagojevich mum on possible successors to Obama
Chicago Tribune (IL) - Friday, October 31, 2008
Author: Rick Pearson and Monique Garcia, TRIBUNE REPORTERS
Gov. Rod Blagojevich on Thursday cited the potential for bad “karma” and avoided discussing potential Senate successors to Barack Obama should the Democratic nominee win the White House, but acknowledged he has a process in mind for making the most important appointment of his career.
“I just don’t want to jinx him and I don’t like the karma of me thinking that far ahead,” Blagojevich said of Obama ‘s prospects in Tuesday’s election. The governor added, “We have had some discussions about a process which we’ll share ... if all goes well.”
A thought just occurred to me and I want to share it here. Given that America is at war (American troops are deployed in the war on terror, Iraq, and Afghanistan), is it wise to go for this agenda of attempting to hamstring Mr. Obama?
Let’s say that the eligibility question is resolved, and Mr. Obama’s presidency is known to be legitimate beyond reasonable doubt. In the current state of war, how can we support the Commander-in-Chief and at the same time relentlessly go after his corruption, ties to terrorists, etc?
Your thoughts appreciated.
Oooops sorry wrong messiah.
Vilify him vilify him vilify him
I don’t think you can turn a looney tunes Serb so easily. The question I have always had is why we allowed Ted Kennedy to change our immigration policy?
Make no mistake that Chicago politics stinks to high heaven.
I like the headline I saw earlier:
What did obama not know and when did he not know it?
It won't, the MSM has already decided Barak "the redeemer of America" is innocent.
Somebody in Obama's camp was talking with the Gov and they had no clue that the FEDs were listening in. There's probably a couple of sweaty palms around the 'Office of President Elect'. LOL
Lets see...this thing mushrooms...Bush goes out of office January....BO is in the middle of this...and can’t get sworn in...does Biden get sworn in, does Pelosi get in?
Why do we keep electing men of no honor?
President Bush managed to do pretty well, even with half the nation against him. Hussien is just going to have to make do. Plus, I don't think the ONE will have to worry about conservatives boycotting recruiting stations and all the other garbage the left occupied itself with over the last 6 years.
I would, however, pay $10.00 to see what would happen if some moonbat stuck her “Bloody Hands” in S.O.S. Hillary's face like they did Condi’s.
When Clinton was in office, just about everybody he took with him to Washington or left behind in Arkansas was convicted of something, including the then Governor of Arkansas, and now Obama get’s elected and apparently everybody he was connected with in Illinois is going to jail.
The media and the Democrats managed to fool America into believing that the Clinton’s were the only clean politicians from Arkansas, and now the media and the Democrats actually want America to believe the Obama is the only clean politician from Illinois.
It’s a hoot.
Feel free to join the B.O. love train.Sounds like your halfway there.
Me...I'll be over on the partisan bitchin’ & moanin’ side.Guess I'm just one of those “eye for an eye” kinda guys.
Mancow just speculated that senate candidate 5 may be jessie jackson jr.
As far as I know being accused or even charged with corruption will not prevent Barak "the redeemer" from his appointed date with destiny. He will be sworn in no doubt.
Its not the Blago I knew
****Mancow just speculated that senate candidate 5 may be jessie jackson jr.***
I saw that..and Mancow (as a Chicago home boy with guts) also speculated that Obama is in this up to his neck - but Doocey & Kilmeade put a gag on his mouth on both speculations - and as the camera panned away - Mancow had a look of disgust as if he realized Fox folks have been told not to “beat up on ‘Bama”
You don’t think that the constant attacks by the Left, the MSM, Academia, the Dems, etc, are responsible for harming the mission and responsible for the deaths of American troops?
More evidence to the theory that team 0 was tipped off.

TIPSVILLE . . .
Sneed hears a plan is afoot to impeach Gov. Blagojevich following the presidential election next month. Word is the votes are there. Stay tuned.
This morning Fox & Friends had that Mancow on out of Chicago.
Mancow mentioned people up there talking about Durbin and Obama involved in this. Whoa, the reaction was a look of fear on the friends faces and strong denial that anything says Obama was involved.
Pathetic. They looked like total fools. All of this denial and failure to even question the ties between these Chicago crooks is sickening.
If nothing else, Mancow won’t be invited back any time soon.
Obama will be protected by the media. They will not let the Messiah be asked difficult questions.
I don't think you'll be hearing all the defeatist “quagmire”,” another Vietnam”, “unwinnable”, and “baby killer” garbage. That is the kind of crap that emboldens the enemy.
Everything else is on the table.
Which confirms what Axelrod said two weeks ago, making Obama the liar yesterday.
You’re kidding, right?
Time to grab a smoke....
FoxNews caved a long time ago. This comes as no surprise.
“There’s probably a couple of sweaty palms around the ‘Office of President Elect
Time to grab a smoke....”
Bet he’s up to two packs, now. ;)
What do you think Blago will do..?
In 1973 we were fighting a war. Let us give Obama the support Nixon got.
“Mancow mentioned people up there talking about Durbin and Obama involved in this.”
Who will it be?

THE OBAMA CONFLICT?
Sneed hears Barack Obama wants an African American to fill his U.S. Senate seat if he wins the presidency.
- The upshot: U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. wants the spot.
- Hmmmm. That places Gov. Blagojevich , who is charged with selecting Obama s replacement, in a tricky place.
- To wit: Sneed hears Gov. Blago, who dismisses reports of a federal probe, wants to run for office again and believes replacing Barack with an African American is a smart political move. But he is being urged to select state Sen. Donne Trotter, a close friend of Obama mentor/Senate President Emil Jones, to fill the spot.
- Another dilemma: Sneed is also told U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin, who is this/close to Obama and was a major Obama supporter from the get-go, is pitching to have state veteran affairs chief Tammy Duckworth fill Obama s spot, and had the ear of Gov. Blago until recently. Blago is also a big Duckworth fan.
ABC’s video link of axelrods fox news interview is no longer available.
And Patrick Fitzgerald will be "Ken Starr'ed" if he even mentions 0bama's name without genuflecting.
Did Obama report Blagojevich to investigators about any efforts to sell his Senate seat?” Fitton asked.
At the present time we don’t know if he did or did not. Time will tell.
In fact, they want to take back a statement that was made by Axlerod before the case exploded on the public view, which has not been contested until this moment, and now say that back then Axlerod, "mispoke?"
It is obvious that Obama takes the entirety of the US voting public for the fools this disgusting governor took the people of Illinois for.
Obama's lies, tom foolery, and charltain behavior was bought into by so many people to get him elected...how long will those same people continue buying pig in a poke?
Hopefully, the tapes will bear this out and Americans everywhere will begin to awaken to the peril and through off this malais and sick infatuation.
If Mr. Obama gets hamstrung, he will have done it to himself. The military has never had much support from the Democrats anyway.
Fitzgerald is a loose cannon right now. I don't think anyone knows just how far this will go. One thing is certain. A Democrat governor is coming down big time.
Thanks for the info. It is going to be interesting and disgusting to watch the MSM(includes Fox)dance around, spin, and lie, to keep Obama out of this.
Two friends enjoying a tall tale about an unknown leftist rising to the presidency of the United Nations.
(Well, after all, Billy Goat Clinton as his winsome sow of a frau proved that any leftist scum can crawl up the steps of the White House. He did accomplish one first, however. He masturbated in the oval orifice washroom.)
