Don’t grasp at straws. So 0bama shook Blago’s hand in a greeting line. I find it hard to believe Blago was asking dirty political favors during this handshake right in front of Gov. Daniels & Gov. Strickland. 0bama’s statement is not a model of clarity, but this is not a smoking gun.
Remember Bill Ayres was only a guy in the neighborhood.
Bang on - Fitzgerald stopped this game when he did, in order to protect a lot of rats - including zero, and the shake-down father-son duo. If he would have let it continue to the actual payoff, he could have collected a lot of rats. But, of course, that would only happen if it was a Republican involved.

Notice the change in mid sentence, “we” to “ I”. I think he believes he is not on the recording, but he knows his emissary was.
