EquuSearch's leader said sheriff's office investigator thinks the remains found today belong to missing toddler Caylee Marie Anthony.

Tim Miller, the founder and director of EquuSearch, said the remains "appear to be Caylee, but with any case, we have to wait until a positive ID is made."

"It looks like finally it's over with," Miller said.

Orange County deputies said a utility worker found the remains of a young child this morning in the area of S. Chickasaw Trail and Suburban Drive -- less than 1/4 mile from the Anthonys' home on Hopespring Drive. Spokesman Jim Solomons of the Orange County Sheriff's Office said the remains were found in a bag.

Somebody on Fox News Channel said the guy that discovered the remains walked into the area to relieve himself.

Which, sounds like it was an easily accessible area, which provided quick cover.

So.... it may never have been found, but for the random actions of some person.

With Christmas so close I would like to think that the new angel Caylee guided this man to her remains.

I heard the comment on FNC today that one theory is that Casey wanted to go out partying one night but didn’t want to pay for a babysitter and her parents wouldn’t keep Caylee, so she used chloroform on the little girl and accidentally overdosed her...

I thought that too. But then I read about the computer searches the cops found on her computer ... she was searching terms like "missing children, neck-breaking, and household weapons."

All things considered, I think it looks more likely than not that it was deliberate.

“Casey never wanted Caylee, she wanted to put her up for adoption but her overbearing nutjob mother wanted to keep her.”

Yes, her nutty mother should have let Casey put her up for adoption. Casey’s mother is also NUTS! I can hardly stand ot listen to her droning voice with excuses and denial of reality.

“Caylee never stood a chance the poor baby. Living in a house like that with all those whack jobs, if she had been adopted she would have had a normal life, instead now, she is gone, I knew that from the moment I heard this case, that she was dead.”

Same here. The fight was it. Casey decided to live the “beautiful life”. She had enough. She couldn
t give Caylee up so she killed her. She was jealous of the attention her nutjob mother and father paid to her.

“The whole story about Zaneida Gonzalez, what I believe happened is that Casey went to that apartment after Caylee was dead, saw that log for people wanting to rent an apartment there, saw the name Zaneida Gonzalez, and used that name as the babysitter. This poor poor baby, I hope Casey rots in hell for what she did.”

I believe you are right.

Throw the book at her and put the death penalty back on the table. Casey is a monster.

I understand that plastic trash bags were previously removed by detectives from the Anthony house. If they match the body bag, perhaps it's a piece of usable evidence. LE can go to the trash bag manufacturer and find out if the bags were produced as part of one particular "run".

Perhaps they took duct tape from the house, also. Duct tape yields lots of clues.....hair, threads, and particularly, fingerprints. Even after being in water for a long period of time, forensics can still pick up trace evidence from duct tape and plastic bags.

Since the Anthony’s are not home, can LE get another search warrant and search without them being there?

Killing someone by a reckless and illegal act probably falls short of murder. Manslaughter? It is difficult to separate emotions from the law in this sad circumstance.

i am going home after work and holding my little 2-1/2 yr old girl really tight......

On Saturday we'll be watching our 2-1/4 year old grandson and his little 10-month old brother. They are so precious to us; my mind cannot fathom what would cause someone to hurt a child in such a manner.

That’s how the remains of what is believed to be Charles Lindbergh’s kidnapped son were discovered, too...A delivery driver stepped off the road into the trees to urinate, and uncovered a burlap sack containing remains. That was pretty close to the Lindbergh home, too.

Yes, no one has to be home at the time of police searches.

However, first, LE has to have probable cause to conduct the search.....and persuade a judge to issue a search warrant based on whatever probable cause they have.....for instance, new evidence.

EquuSearch spokeswoman Mandy Albritton said their workers did not check that location earlier because it was submerged in water when they had looked in September. When they returned in November, the site had been fenced off.

That explains alot.

They have to "save" their daughter while spending the rest of their lives wondering what they did do create such a monster.

Oh, I see. Well, either way, it’s the outcome I expected. Her mother is completely crazy.

Yes, you are correct.

I find it so repulsive, though, that a mother blessed with a beautiful little child could be so vile as to do such a thing. I don’t understand how you don’t have your child’s interests, not your own, at heart. I just don’t get it.

If I read the link correctly they previously found duct tape and at least one bag in the trunk of casey’s car.... now the remains are found in a bag closed with duct tape...and Casey thinks she is smart.

The speculation was that Casey put the tape over the child’s mouth and then held a cloth soaked with chloroform
over her nose...

Just yesterday we saw man at his best(widower not blaming the F-18 pilot) and now we see man at his worst. Hard to imagine two creatures from the same species

The link provided at #20 by Andy’s Mom (second story at link) mentions comparing the duct tape and bag to that found in Casey’s car - I didn’t recall reading before that they had found those items in her car but that is pretty damning.

A true sociopath, like my late brother (who died just before Thanksgiving), will never admit guilt, even when the evidence is overwhelming. She will, even if it’s just in her own mind, say she has no responsibility in this matter. The Nanny did it and that’s the end of it as far as she is concerned.............
