The UK is not here. Oh, and by the way, a friend of mine had IVF in England, and by law, they can not transfer more than two embryos. In fact, most are now saying one should be the maximum.

Now, considering that England has government run healthcare, and IVF is paid for by the government... who do you think benefits from extra embryos? Here's a hint... its medical research.

If anything, the disturbing trend to use frozen embryos should scare all of us with government healthcare on the horizon in the US. If they are paying for IVF, you can bet some way, some how, the government will take as many embryos as they want to use for research. THAT should scare you a helluva lot more than families wanting to have children.

IVF ends with the implantation of the viable embryo.

Nope. It ends with the fertilization. The evil of IVF is that it invites the born to dehumanize the unborn.

The remaining ones can be frozen in perpetuity, instead of being flushed, in order to satisfy moral obligations expected of us as a society.

How does wrongful perpetual imprisonment satisfy moral obligations?

We have lots of democrap agitprop liars claiming they are ‘long-time lurkers’. When you’ve been a member for a year or so we’ll revisit your bonefides. In the meantime, murdering human beings to give yourself descendants isn’t pro-life. Your agenda gets revealed by such blurting as the following misdirection: “You have zero right to decide whether certain individuals or couples need to have their chance for lineage terminated, or not.” What a disgusting effort to twist the perspective. typical

Discuss the topic at hand, please. If I wanted judgments/ morality lectures, this is not where I'd come to seek them.

I don't know about that. I ask again, what about the terminally ill, under life-support?

This whole misconception about embryos being left to die is silly.

Misconception?

LOL

I don't suppose you do.

I never said “racial.”

You mean, that's what you "didn't" imply, when you shouted NAZI?

bull, many do six, or would the parents who have sextuplets have gotten pregnant 2 or 3 times at the exact same time as they had their 2 implanted?

Even if, as you say, they only implant 2, how many do they create to get those 2 viable? 4,6? What becomes of them, or are they just arbitrary? Any way you slice it, life is created in a lab just to be discarded when the choicest is implanted. It is agregious and disgusting to play God in this fashion and completely selfish and unecessary. We will not agree on our outlook here, time to move on.

I don't suppose you do.

I suppose it's safe to presume, with that, you have run out of arguments. Good day!

The misconception is that its standard protocol. It isn't. Most women who do IVF do not have multiple embryos. Many arrest before making it to the freezing stage. Those that are kept frozen and used later have a less than 50% chance of becoming viable.

This misconception is that every woman who does IVF has tons of eggs/embryos. And that is simply not true.

I’m not out of arguments, I simply need no more. You are wrong and I have demonstrated it.

What's typical is your assumed moral superiority that allowed you to throw silly judgmental labels, instead of making good arguments. What's evident, by that, is that you not just lost; you were incapable of winning in the first place.

I didn't see any mention of protocol, nor did I see any mention of tons. It happens.

Those that are kept frozen and used later have a less than 50% chance of becoming viable.

I wonder what the survival rate was at Auschwitz.

Life begins at the moment of contraception.

You mean 'conception', right?

So is the right to have biological progeny. Haven't you noticed? It's not merely a right- it's the driving force of all life on this planet. Ignore at your own peril.
