Ousted Mayor [Democrat Kwame Kilpatrick] Goes On Shopping Spree (in jail)
WDIV-TV Local 4 ^ | December 12, 2008

Posted on 12/12/2008 6:47:24 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

DETROIT -- Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick went on a shopping spree during his first full day in jail, spending $40 on food, toiletries and XXXL long johns.

Records released Friday to the Detroit Free Press and The Detroit News show Kilpatrick's purchases included granola bars, barbecue potato chips, shampoo and $2 worth of Vaseline.

In late October, Kilpatrick began serving a 120-day sentence for obstruction of justice and assault. With good behavior, he could be out of jail after 100 days.

Kilpatrick was in a scandal that involved courtroom lies, sex with a top aide and incriminating text messages.

The Wayne County jail did not release the names of Kilpatrick's visitors. He reported to jail in a business suit and had 18 pairs of socks and $67.

Notice that they didn't mention his party affiliation? They never make that "mistake" with a Republican. Wonder what in the world the Vaseline is for?

“...and $2 worth of Vaseline.”

Geez, it didn’t take him long to fit in to that crowd.

Heh, now WHO can post that picture of the soldering iron, electric cord and vise????

Just crazy. And we have a President who not only sends Kwanzaa cards like other Presidents, I am sure he practices it as well.

Anyone think he doesn’t? Especially after hearing that crowd he hangs out with at Trinity...

He got lonely awfully fast. It took the guy in Midnight Express what, 12 years before he finally broke down. This guy got in over the weekend and is already stocking his medicine cabinet with the grease. Ah hahahahahaha, ahhhh haahahahaha.

Lots of smirking on this thread. I worked in a prison for a year. One year working in one will wipe the smug smiles right off your faces....

This guy screwed up, he's paying the price. Shut up and try to have some class...

"No he celebrates Obamadan"

Wasn't there a group of "Messiah" worshipers trying to make Nov. 5 a national "Obamadan day"?

I bet they will try make Jan 20 another "Obamadan" holiday as well.

Do they buy vaseline by the 45 gallon drum in prison, and dispense it by the pint?

Kilpatrick sure didn't waste any time stocking up with it, did he. Makes you wonder what else was going on in the mayors office.

The Vaseline is normally used for lubrication for masturbation......it’s a crime to have sex with other inmates. Any other questions?

Some inmates also use vaseline on their hair and to moisten their skin. In some prisons they sell Georgia Peach instead.

A friend of mine is a guard at Southern Michigan. He says you haven’t lived till you write a guy up for sexual misconduct with dinner.

Liver, it’s what’s for dinner and then some.

I wondered what the inmates were complaining about at dinner. In my day, they generally used socks. But you can find weird stories in almost any prison.

A black friend of mine uses it for dry skin. She calls it “ash”, funny gray looking areas on her skin where dry skin builds up. It does look flaky and gray like ashes.
