Here's the link to the video of an Iraqi journalist throwing his shoes at Bush.
Luckily the President has quick reflexes.
I wish President Bush would have been allowed to stand tall with this foul jerk and got it on like two men instead of one excuse for a man throwing a shoe. Bush could have probably kicked his butt from here to kingdom come!!!
Some difference from the way they responded to the RR shots in DC.
“Secret Service agents quickly wrestled the shoes to the ground.”
I am so tired of the complete disrespect the world has for President Bush. The media has convinced everyone to hate him. The media is in complete glee reporting this.
Perhaps the journalist is a distant relative of Helen Thomas.
“Who throws a shoe, honestly? You fight like a woman.” -Austin Powers
And for the rest of our lives, the Homeland Security Theater Troupe will make us take off our shoes at political rallies.
Looks like the Secret service weren’t able to put their best foot forward in protecting the prez.
I wonder if future pressers will be mandatory shoeless. I would hope they pass out gas masks at the door.
They should send these Secrect Service men to guard the big mouth Michelle NoObama.
Pretty amazing reflexes. I’d have W on my dodgeball team any day.
I was shocked to see how quickly President Bush was able to respond too! I am glad he is ok! Liberals are disgusting in their hatefulness.
Perhaps this fella had a sweet gig back under Saddam, you know, typing up whatever Saddam’s press office faxed to him, and now he’s forced to live like every one else.
I’m a little slow today. I went by your Ed Sullivan picture and it was ten minutes before I got the joke. Nice job.
No one has said this yet!
We need to start background check and a 2 week cooling off period before you can purchase shoes! NOW!!!!!!!!!!!
Then we are going to institute a ban on assault shoes! Because they look menacing!
I think he did work for an Egyptian TV channel but the reports are he was a local Iraqi correspondent who had done a lot of reporting from Sadr City in the past.
So I think this genius managed to get himself rendered IN his own country TO his own country.
when he got tackled, he squealed like a pig.
Alleged quotes by the thrower.
1st shoe : “This is a gift from the Iraqis. This is the farewell kiss, you dog”
2nd shoe : “This is from the widows, the orphans and those who were killed in Iraq”
Positive! it was a Detroit Lions quarterback......
I’d like to show him my 10 1/2 shoe to about a half a foot up his ass.
Bush should have shot him. Poetic justice and all.
From what I saw on the newscasts Bush said, among other things, “I don’t blame him.” The fact is that two big shoes thrown hard can cause severe facial damage. What if they had been rocks which can kill or seriously disable? This should be the closing legacy of a man who reacts like a simpleton to a clear assault and serious physical attack on OUR highest national office - the presidency of the United States!
What arab culture? Just some muslim Sand Nword thing.
Other than ducking the shoes, the President did not flinch.
President Bush is one cool customer.
I highly commend to you the book “The Arab Mind” by (the late) Rafael Patai, if you want an idea of their worldview — which is VERY different from the American. My father-in-law deemed it essential education for dealing with Arabs, as he did in Saudi Arabia for GM. I haven’t had to, but found it a very interesting read nonetheless.
If Scarborough has any balls Monday morning he will make some comparison of Olbermann to this clown.
Tell me if you see this in the news:
Troops give Bush a Sendoff
Man I can give a $hit about how to deal with muslims. Pershing had the right idea. Soak em in pig guts and shot em then bury them in pig skins. These creeps have been a danger to the civilized world ever since that pervert pedifile moohamid was pokin 8 year olds.
