I think he did work for an Egyptian TV channel but the reports are he was a local Iraqi correspondent who had done a lot of reporting from Sadr City in the past.

From what I saw on the newscasts Bush said, among other things, “I don’t blame him.” The fact is that two big shoes thrown hard can cause severe facial damage. What if they had been rocks which can kill or seriously disable? This should be the closing legacy of a man who reacts like a simpleton to a clear assault and serious physical attack on OUR highest national office - the presidency of the United States!

I highly commend to you the book “The Arab Mind” by (the late) Rafael Patai, if you want an idea of their worldview — which is VERY different from the American. My father-in-law deemed it essential education for dealing with Arabs, as he did in Saudi Arabia for GM. I haven’t had to, but found it a very interesting read nonetheless.
If Scarborough has any balls Monday morning he will make some comparison of Olbermann to this clown.
