Who Really Runs Washington and Why Americans Lose on Every Issue
Right Side News ^ | December 14, 2008 | JB Williams

After decades of leftist efforts to convert America's representative republic into a pure democracy, where 51% can take away the rights of the other 49% for the greater common good, we find our nation on the verge of political and economic collapse.

It was the dream of men like Vladimir Lenin and Karl Marx, not Thomas Jefferson or John Adams, that one day the proletariat would control the nation's productivity in the United States, replacing evil capitalism with secular socialism and individual rights with a greater good of communal interests.

In 2008, the left gained full control of all three branches of the federal government and America may never again live in freedom. This column takes a look at how it happened and why average red-blooded Americans are no match for the collective power of the proletariat movement.

(snip)

70% of Americans oppose everything the left and the incoming Obama campaign stand for, according to all available polling data. But the 30% who support the current secular socialist movement spend five times more in pursuit of their agenda than the balance of America is willing to spend to defend their nation under siege.

In short, America's Silence is its Consent

EXCELLENT column on why we are losing America to the left and we have only ourselves to blame! We either see it, learn it and correct it, or lose it all!

It definitely isn’t “We the People.” Washington has become a government of the politicians, by the politicians FOR the politicians.

Somebody threw the term ‘The iron law of oligarchy’ at me the other day. Haven’t heard it since college, and even then, never used it in a sentence. Have to revisit it.

This column tells it exactly as it is... including the solution to the problem.

TOO many “conservatives” (read Americans) think that voting once every four years, or not at all, is the limit of their voice and their civic duty.

So long as they continue to believe that, they will continue to get their butts kicked by a lesser but more committed enemy.

Politicians are for sale, and the left is who is buying them at present. The right believes they shouldn’t have to...and they are right. But that’s not the game being played today.

My guess as to why we, the backbone of America, do not spend as much on all the hot button political issues as the leftists do is simply this: we give our money to altruistic causes like the Christian church, and various relief organizations.
Maybe that’s overy simplistic. But I’ve seen several studies that show conservative Christians give far more to charity than the Left. Now we know where the Left spends its money.

"Even early 19th century Americans like Roger Baldwin, founder of the ACLU, understood this."

"Joe McCarthy warned of a communist movement in Hollywood many years ago."

Couldn't the writer have done some basic research?

Did not see anything excellent on some issues he is not even right - e.g. Obama and his supporters' agenda is not secular it is atheistic.

Some of his conclusions are right, but hey even a broken clock show right twice in a day.

I believe ACORN has received $800 million of TAXPAYER money.

In that case the left is not spending their own money, they are spending OUR money and everyone else’s.

A guerilla army succeeds by winning small battles where loot, arms and supplies are the spoils. Then they grow and repeat this formula.

The left is using our resources against us. Of course they plead their purpose as voter registration drives, ‘Get Out the Vote’, etc.

There isn’t any solution to the problem because the cause of the problem is the problem itself. The American people are so intellectually decadent, dogmatic, and detached from history that they have no understanding of the founding principles. Without an understanding of what liberty is and why it works the government cannot be cured and we will continue to lurch from crisis to crisis employing arbitrary authoritarian solutions that will only further erode our nation.

It is probably too late but we could start by removing our children from government K-12 schools and Marxist dominated colleges and universities. Conservatives should set up education alternatives through private vouchers. Conservatives could also sponsor conservative teachers willing to set up one room school houses, mini-schools, and homeschool cooperatives.

I recommend the interview with the former KGB agent. The communist understood how important the education process was in winning the hearts and minds of the next generation of voters.

No, we should not try to reform government K-12 schools. The very premise of government education is socialistic to the core. They are also in utter conflict with the First Amendment. We must work to abolish them.

The above is the link to the KGB interview.

Also...We should study Saul Alinsky and use their methods against them.

“The TRUTH” is entirely clear, though not well known.

a) More than 90% of all federal taxes are paid by conservative leaning Americans (republicans) which explains why republicans oppose more taxation and democrats who pay little if any taxes, love taxes. They think they pay taxes because they have been told that their SS contribution is their fair share of taxes.

b) In addition, more than 80% of all charitable donations also come from conservative leaning (republican) donors.

c) Democrats receive HUGE sums of political donations compared to republicans, including from “lobbyists.”

And, although we still outnumber them, they outspend us in political spending, not because we give our money elsewhere, but because we can't stomach the fact that if we want to defeat them, we will have to outspend them first...

Yes, but if this is what they believe; why do we have elitists? Aren’t they subjected to the same beliefs?

It’s more like a con artist’s biggest con game.

Huh???

Tell me the difference between “secular socialism” and “atheism?”

Try being specific as to where you think he is wrong? Or, did you learn your debate skills on DU?
