"Let Me Just Cut You Off, Because I Don't Want You To Waste Your Question" (Obama to reporter)

"Let Me Just Cut You Off, Because I Don't Want You To Waste Your Question"

That's what Barack Obama said today when John McCormick of the Chicago Tribune tried to ask about Rahm Emanuel's contacts with the Blagojevich team.

Obama said, "It would be inappropriate for me to comment…and I don't want to get into the details at this point." So a short time later, McCormick came up with a more acceptable question: "Do you or [Secretary of Education-designate Arne Duncan] have a better jump shot?" The whole thing had a "Saturday Night Live" feel to it.

The interaction with McCormick stood out from previous meetings with the press. And speaking about the exchange on MSNBC shortly after, NBC Washington bureau chief Mark Whitaker said that reporters have not been aggressive enough during Obama's post-election pressers.

"Our job is to hold him to account," Whitaker said, adding that he thinks "we're going to have to get tougher."

Don’t waste our time, Obama.

Power and arrogance. An unseemly combination.

Arrogant little snob, ain’t he ...

So you were being outbid in your desire for a Senate insider and spy who owed you, so what was your high bid, sir? Is that why it took 21 calls, sir?

They are not going to get tougher. They are like whipped puppies.

This is pathetic and painful to watch. Do they have any grownups left among them?

It'll be interesting watching the media getting "tougher" and worshiping at the same time.

How true. They applauded both his entrance and his exit today. Jaw dropping boot licking. Stalin would love this.

Hell, that’s been your job for almost two years of campaigning and post election, and you still haven’t started doing your job.

Perhaps they should have worried about this when they were sifting Sarah Palins garbage bins.

They know they aren't dealing with those BOZOS from the GOP anymore.

The election of Obama is a catastrophe for the MSM and the liberal papers and their relevance.

Their fanatical cheerleading for him during the campaign shoots any credibility they might have to actually challenge him on anything straight to hell.

They might as well just continue to cheer Obama on, their “hard questions” just won’t be believable to their viewers and readers.

For someone who’s supposed to be so cool and collected, The One-Elect looked more than a little peeved during that press conference.

John McCormick of the Tribune is TOTALLY in the tank for Obama. That's why he embarrassed himself and his bankrupt paper with the fawning jump shot question.

What an as$hole.

Can anyone imagine the repercussions and outrage if Pres. Bush ever dared to talk to a reporter like this?

I fear we are going to miss, if nothing else, at least the respect that Pres. Bush returned to the White House after 8 years of BJ Clinton and his merry band of liars.

Let's not forget. Part of Obammi the Commie's rhetorical shtick was to use a tone of voice that sounded like “51% educated black man 49% black thug from the street that may have you jumped.”

He is going to use that same tone of voice for the next 4 years to intimidate anyone who may dare to question him.

As if his crypto-Marxism wasn’t embarassing enough, now the world will see him for being a timid little b*tch

Since election day, he seems stressed, irritable, tempermental, confused, bitter and indignant...
