Duncan Hunter went on Hardball and criticized the New York Times editorial on detainee abuse as "left wing rubbish". Janice Karpinski would disagree with Hunter's assertion that the blame for the abuse did not go all the way to the top.

Hunter is a great American. He should run for President with Palin in 2012. He was one of the few candidates running in the primary who was worth getting excited about.

Read the 15-6 on Abu Graib, she failed in her command.
Get over dyke and move on!
The shit that happened at Abu Griab, never happened at GTMO.

He called McCain, Romney and Rudy the Kennedy Wing of the Republican party. And he's exactly right.

Sorry. :)
I wasn’t referring specifically to you.
I meant to insinuate that for some time on this board, it has seemed the only detractors one sees bashing Governor Palin, are plants for Mitt Romney.
Now at least, we can discuss the relative qualifications of the two candidates I (most) wish were right now our President Elect:
Duncan Hunter. And Governor Palin.
Let’s start working to make that happen.
In either order.

I am not at all disparaging Governor Palin when I suggest that Duncan Hunter’s 26+ years on the House Armed Services Committee (including chairmanship), in addition to his hands on approach to the issues of border security, plus his understanding of both the Islamofascist -and- Communist Chinese threat, dictates that he has more experience and is more ‘ready’ for the demands of the Presidency and I am sure that Governor Palin would agree with that.

I agree, but let’s face the facts, and these are the facts: Duncan Hunter is not going to win a national election on his own.
He was my first choice, but...he has little more appeal to people than McCain. I am not equating him with McCain, but he had his chance and you saw how that went.
I am sure that person did not mean it as an insult, but we have to face the facts.

I agree, but lets face the facts, and these are the facts: Duncan Hunter is not going to win a national election on his own.
Key words FRiend: 'on his own' - the fact is, Hunter's campaign in the primaries was running on a shoestring, there was a deliberate and focused effort by the media and the RINO-infestation of the Republican Party to give him short shrift, and to minimize his already long shot campaign. If Hunter had the financial campaign resources of someone like Mitt Romney (just to cite one other candidate), his message of Reagan conservatism would not only have reverberated, but I daresay would have carried the day. The RNC went out of it's way to minimize him as well, and that puke Mel Martinez (aka Senator RINO from Florida) had his hands all over that.
He was my first choice, but...he has little more appeal to people than McCain. I am not equating him with McCain, but he had his chance and you saw how that went.
We honestly don't know how much appeal Hunter would have to people because he did not have the name recognition that McCain, Romney, Giuliani (that Kennedy Wing of the GOP, lol) had.
I am sure that person did not mean it as an insult, but we have to face the facts.
Well by that standard, Sarah Palin should be automatically disqualified and discouraged from pursuing the GOP nomination in 2012, her enthusiastic crowds notwithstanding, because she has already been part of a losing campaign.
Duncan Hunter never got to the big game this year because of factors beyond his control (i.e., the aforementioned media bias, RNC bias, etc.)
After 4 years of Comrade 0bama, Duncan Hunter may well come back just as strong as did Ronald Reagan against that phuckwit Jimmy Carter in 1980.

Palin didn’t have any name recognition either, but was a natural (and I don’t mean blonde)
I would like to see him do well. But even a brilliant candidate has to get out of the primaries. Maybe next time it will be different.

Saying that if Hunter had more money he would have had more electoral success is putting the cart before the horse.
Raising money is a key element in any campaign. I think we can safely say that Hunter displayed a woefully inadequate ability to woo donors. The first sign of electoral viability is the ability to attract donors. Hunter failed to attract any serious money. What makes you think it would be any different in any future run?

Assuming that remnants of America are still somewhat intact after the next 4 years of Communist 0bamanation, that alone could make a major difference.
Ronald Reagan had money problems all the way through the ‘76 primary season when he was challenging Gerald ‘RINO’ Ford for the nomination, but thanks to Jesse Helms and enough people who believed in Reagan, the North Carolina primary was where Reagan began to rebound, and the money started picking up.
And Reagan came to within an eyelash of dislodging Ford as the GOP nominee that year. Four years later, he won the Presidency.
Success is built on failure, it’s a simple fact of life.
