From what I hear, it’s just getting bad all over Columbus. I just had all those MS13 members arrested less than 3 miles from my home in Worthington and a good friend of mine who lives in Hilliard and who’s sons play soccer, says she can’t take them to the park near her home to practice because the fields are packed with what appears to be Hispanic-only leagues. I continue to see gang tags on utility boxes all around my neighborhood and won’t soon forget being asked by police to change the date of my Statehouse rally against S2611 because of the danger posed by the Latino Festival. Every single restaurant near Polaris, including fast food, has spanish-only speaking employees in their kitchens. I thought Cleveland and Toledo were bad, but Columbus and it’s suburbs are being overrun by illegals and if something isn’t done about it soon...we are going to lose our city. My worst fear is that if we don’t organize to fight this maddness, it’s going to be much more difficult to fight when some idiot comes up with the idea of making Columbus an ‘official’ sanctuary city.

I was approached in the past to start a Columbus group for both Grassroots Rally Teams and FIRE Coalition and am seriously considering it.

UPDATE:

“The car collided with five vehicles and injured seven people, nearly killing the wrong-way driver.

A fake Ohio ID and Mexican driver’s license identified as Altunar Baltazar the critically injured driver of the white Nissan Maxima that sped 5 miles west through eastbound traffic, Deputy Steve M. Fickenworth said.’

“Little information was available yesterday about Baltazar.

A Columbus resident named Altunar Baltazar, who would be about the same age as the driver yesterday, was arrested last year and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and driving without a license, according to the Marysville Journal Tribune.”

DUI, no license, false identification, AND an illegal alien. Arrested, but he’s still here? Something’s just not right about this...I’d like to figure out how to find out what happened to the charges last time.

Investigators said Friday that the man who caused chaos by driving the wrong way along Interstate 270 on Christmas morning may be a Mexican national who was using a phony Ohio identification.

Please tell me nobody in Ohio is surprised by this.

Today's online Dispatch follow-up story is going to make you gag. The writer tries to elicit sympathy for the illeagal and his family.

I know what you mean about the soccer fields. Back in my first marriage, I had a very nice, expensive home in Hilliard (Heritage Farms area.) Those Frito Banditos were all over like lice. Cops were too tied up by PC (one admitted as much to me) to do a damn thing.

we are going to lose our city.

Our city is gone already. Coleman and his City Politburo of appointees( is there even ONE elected city council member today?) have handed it over to the Mexicans, Somalis and Obamites.

When I remarried, for financial reasons (child support) we decided to sell my house in Hilliard and keep my wife's house in Groveport. I used to be a NW side snob. But not anymore. We hardly see any Banditos down here. The NW and SW sides are infested.

I have two compelling reasons to be in Columbus today. My son is 11, and I have Jackets season tickets ( I know, I love pain.) But when June, 2015 (High School graduation day) arrives, we are so out of here. I'll watch the Jackets on satellite from Alabama or somewhere that feels like America.

Sounds good to me. Let me know if I can help.

Another drunk Mexican criminal.

Who will be treated as the "victim" here in Franklin County.

American dads who have lost jobs and are behind on child support are treated far worse and are more quickly incarcerated than these criminal invaders.

I tried to learn the disposition of the charges in Union County but could not find anything. Union County does not appear to have public records or court documents available online. There is also nothing on this guy on the Franklin County site either.

I have only been here in the Worthington/Westerville area for about two years. I am very confused about how city government works. My area of Worthington is, technically (I’m told), part of Columbus...city services, etc. I’m not sure if there are elected Mayors and city councils for the suburbs, or, do all the suburbs fall under the City of Columbus for elected leadership and laws? How does Franklin County fit in? Can you give me a brief overview?

It is confusing. The suburbs have set boundaries that are not the same as their named school districts. Here's the example I knew best from my own experience:

I bought a home in the Hilliard school district. My address was Hilliard, OH 43026. My street sign was green. Three streets over, Hilliard-proper street signs are blue. My trash was picked up by the city of Columbus, Hilliard's by Rumpke. If I called 911 Columbus Fire and/or police responded. For Hilliard proper it was Norwich township Fire and Hilliard PD. My phone prefix was 527, a Hilliard number. My taxes were about 20% lower than folks on blue-signed streets, but so was my property valuation by the county. But my son went to Hilliard schools, and that's all that matters.

The suburbs all have elected mayors and city councils. But they are limited in big ways, as Columbus has its tentacles into so much infrastructure in the county. Water and sewer is a big case in point.

As for Franklin County, their biggest issues cover the courts, metro parks and some law enforcement (sheriff) as well as the oddball stuff like the Airport Authority which controls Port Columbus, Rickenbacker and Bolton.

Yeah, Jeannette Bradley (RINO) left to be state treasurer, then Ken Blackwell's running mate.

A couple of years ago, the Dispatch had a graphic of the city with council member's homes marked on the map. No surprise; just travel High St. from Gerbil Village to Clintonville. All seven of the rats lived within a few blocks of High. They cannot and WILL not relate to Columbus residents who live 10 miles from downtown. And if you live in Columbus, but have a suburban school district...you might as well be from out of state. I saw that one personally.

Roger that! I'd love to be in someplace like 'Bama.

My wife and I travel through Alabama twice a year on the way to Panama City Beach.

Huntsville in the north or Dothan in the south both look very promising. Probably Dothan for us; inexpensive, and only 90 minutes from the Gulf beaches.

I'm waiting for 2015 high school graduation. Then I'm outta here.
