This man is a certified charlatan.
Every so often they drag him out from under his rock as a “non-partisan voice” only because this imposter once served under a Republican. He’s no Republican he’s a political parasite. Sure, Øbama made a crummy speech, but we didn’t need Gergen to tell us that-any crack smoker could.

I certainly believe so.
I would be worried about some other historical technicality before I gloated too much. Especially because it involves an oath.
If just a dumb mistake however, it is hard to believe that no one caught this as any person who paid attention in high school American History would notice the issue.

LOL, beautifully said. That sounds like the third coronary of a very important rule that completely slips my mind at the moment.
I agree, it’s going to be mildly interesting to see the genesis of criticism of 0bama. Because this is a phenom that will begin from utterly zero (or below) and go...as far as it goes. That’s why it seems strange, there’s simply none now.
I don’t think Obama was a history major...so how is he supposed to know that the Grover Cleveland who was the 22nd President and the Grover Cleveland who was the 24th President were the same person? It’s like expecting him to know how many states there are.

I wasn't gloating--just pointing out the facts. There are no other technicalities. The mistake has been picked up by others. GOOGLE "Obama goofs" and you'll see corroboration. I was watching his speech while I was on the bike at my health club, and immediately mentioned the goof to several people there. They thought I was being hyper-technical and super-critical. Nevertheless, I was correct.
As you said, it is hard to believe that no one in the Obama camp, from the guy who wrote the speech to Obama himself, caught this. If he were a republican, this would be all over the news.
As to your last line, above--this did not involve the oath of office. This was part of his inaugural address.
