Obama said this about rising above typical partisan differences: "We're all political animals, we've all got political bases," the president is reported to have said. "If we don't get this done we (the Democrats) could lose seats and I could lose re-election. But we can't let people like Rush Limbaugh stall this. That's how things don't get done in this town."

I don’t think taxes had anything to do with this.
Not even a week in office and his ego is getting out of bounds.

Obama is doing his best impression of Jimmy Carter, another President who thought he had the moral high ground, while he proceeded to kill Western Interests around the planet. We all saw what Carter did to the U.S. internally as well. Well, he was vote in with a majority. Looks like Obama wants to go down in history with a Carter type legacy.
I don’t think he can avoid it. We’ll see...

ya Know Odummer, I know you don’t know a whole lot, read much, or study American history for that matter, but we do not elect dictators in the USA — The Constitution prevents people like you from confiscating our guns, stealing our wealth, or other general mayhem that works in Kenya and Indonesia ... If we choose not to work in your indentured service, or obey your brown shirts, then we won’t ... deal with it.
Winning just allows you to lead, not rule and it’s a temporary thing ... it’s a rough job getting people to follow you, especially since you are a communist-socialist and America is the land of the free.

But, could Rush do a broadcast in BARBADOS, and have it streammed in on Internet...for IPODS etc? It’s going to be real difficult to shut up dissenters with an INTERNET..the censor crowd won’t allow it...or..would they?

The "I won" comment came after Rep. Eric Cantor, R-Va., said Republicans believed cutting income taxed would do more to stimulate economic growth than providing a $500 per person payroll tax refund for individuals earning less than $200,000. The president said, according to those present, that this was an important philosophical divide between Republican and Democrats and that it had already been settled -- and would remain settled -- because he won the election.
I like this guy, Cantor. He was pretty vocal during the bailout shennanagins, too; called the Dems out on doing the same thing they're doing now as then - shutting the Reps out of meetings.

The average POS who voted for Obama could not have given you a brief synopsis of his views. I know this to be true because I know about a dozen of so associates (not friends) who voted for the creep. In fact not even one of the people knew anything about Obama's views. I queried them about Obama and they didn't have a clue. They voted for him because it was the trendy thing to do. Most of these folks are as dumb as a box of rocks.
As far as taxes go, here's the data:
Top 1% pays 39.89%
Top 5% pays 60.14%
Top 10% pays 70.79%
Top 25% pays 86.27%
Top 50% pays 97.01%
Bottom 50% pays 2.99%
So if a reporter had any courage (or intelligence) they would frame a question in which Obama would be asked what's so unfair about the system we have and the numbers I've stated (by the way IRS data 2006). This will never happen with MSM reporters. MSM=Scum of the Earth.

I was referring to him being able to avoid winding up like Carter at the end of four years. His policies are not going to accomplish what he thinks they will. And in the end, he’ll be leaving the place in a shambles.
I do agree he’s already on his way to that end.
