I can’t find the quote, but,I specifically heard Obama mangle a sentence when speaking extemporaneously in the Oval Office about the closing of Gitmo.
He used “ a” instead of “ an “.
I have no doubt that the media is sanitizing his grammar when they print texts of his remarks.

I have spotted froth on fellow church goers too, and I don’t understand it at all. A lady in my Bible study class said, “He is for change, and people just won’t give him a chance.” My lovely, kind 92 year old aunt voted for him too. Dan Quayle misspells potato--and the Press goes ballistic

...which is disgusting especially when those present knew that Quayle only used the spelling on the card prepared by the teachers. He would have embarrassed them on live TV if he had said something about it at the time. Perhaps he wasn't sure if the spelling was correct, but he certainly did not think that the teacher's card was wrong.

Was he set up or was there an ignorant teacher? Maybe some day, the teacher (or student) writing the card will go public admitting her error. I won't hold my breath.
