ping!
All part of the (intelligently designed?) plan?
I would say that it is all part of an anti-intellectual crusade on the part of the Temple of Darwin.
Who woulda thunk it. Vermont has a university? I would suppose its most popular courses are migration (out) studies for the locals and migration (in) studies for New York’s red diaper babies and sewer scum.

Couldn’t care less.
Stein donated to Franken’s senate campaign.
Expelled again...
Stein’s movie Expelled is very successful in illustrating the foolishness and hypocrisy of elitist academics and liberals.
I’m going to buy several copies of it and have them sent to elitist liberals among my friends and family.
When you consider “gay-rights”, abortion-rights, endangered species protection, etc. There is no group of people that is more anti-Darwinian than liberals.
Good point.
ignore or affront the fundamental values of scientific inquiry
Ben Stein is about as likely to ignore those values as Obama is to prefer McDonald's over wagyu beef (whatever that is).
I'm not sure what constitutes an "affront" to values, but Stein called some conventions and practices into question. Big deal.
He did?!?! What the heck did he go and do that for?
He felt that he should, being as how they have been friends for so many years.....

Let’s see, the long-time jurist who made the obviously correct decision in a court case got an honorary doctorate, and the guy who lied and misrepresented all through a movie didn’t. No surprise here.
Sad, because I otherwise generally liked Ben Stein.
I would be very surprised if any state or private secular university would award an honorary degree to a champion of creationism or ID. A fundamentalist school might well do it, and I certainly think that those who appreciate Mr. Stein’s efforts should lobby such a school to honor him.
The problem is not simple: many people don’t understand that ID is entirely different from creationism.
It appears your use of the term “lied” is erroneous.
remember, worshippers at the altar of darwin consider all those ‘outside the faith’, thus you can erroneously question their motives, intellect and general intelligence...
it’s an old trick, but a goody....
A misrepresentation is just a form of lying.
Can you substantiate that charge? Or are you just blowing smoke out your a$$?
