FReeped Isakson and Chamblis from Georgia. Persons answering each phone said the senators were leaning toward ‘no’, but were waiting to see the final package before deciding. Sounds like the fix is in, folks.

Called Martinez’ office and get same.....voice mail full. Toll free number for U.S. Capitol switchboard been busy all day. Got thru to Vitter’s office to thank him for demanding that ACORN get NOTHING!!
Just got through, Feinstein’s office, and I was short and to the point, NO STIMULUS BILL!

And to think, I worked for this guy on his first campaign for Governor, oh so many years ago.

MoveOn has been running commercials to pressure Lugar to vote for PORKULUS, but I think this visit is to pressure EVAN BAYH...
He’s effectively the head of the so-called “Blue-Dog” caucus, and it’s THOSE VOTES that Obama needs the most.
Bayh may be a Dem, but he is no idiot. He’s getting TONS of pressure from the folks back home today (Including me)
I managed to get a real person in the local office of both my senators. In both cases, they both listened to my message and told me they will pass it to the Senator.
This is better than Voting! I'm going to do it more often.

I just called both Maryland Senators (Dems unfortunately) and registered my strong opposition to the stimulus bill.
