MARCH ON WASHINGTON - NOW!
Hildy

Posted on 02/06/2009 8:10:41 PM PST by Hildy

I'm at my breaking point..the point where you have to do something...just for your own sanity if nothing else. I think we need to get with some other groups, Grassfire and Resistnet and put together a March on Washington. I think the person to put the word out is Rush, and we'll do the rest....Who would be in with this?

How about a recall on the Senators who folded? If nothing else, but to make their lives miserable.

I'm at my breaking point..

As are most of FR. There was a thread earlier today about a "Million Gunowner March". Ted Nugent agreed to lead the way. Maybe we should start there. We have to protect the 2nd Amendment first, otherwise we have no way to defend the rest of the Bill of Rights.

Hildy, we just need to support & ELECT true blue conservatives come 2010...in the meantime the GOP needs to get a testicle & spine implant...anything, except for Supreme Court Justice appointments, that the ‘Rat party & Obama does in the next two years can be undone!

And I predict that Hussein will be another Jimmy Carter...”one & done!”

It's time, if you haven't started already, to do everything possible to shut down this economy. Don't spend unnecessarily. No lavish vacations. No luxuries. Keep that car a little longer. Wear those cloths until they wear out. Cook and eat at home.

And by all means, set up your tax withholding so that dot-gov gets as little as possible through the year. Don't let them use YOUR money interest-free. Drop it as low as you can without being penalized.

The left wants to sink the ship - lets help them.

The pro-lifers turn out by the hundreds of thousands in Washington every January. It isn’t even in the news.

Marches on Washington are as successful as the press wants them to be.

The Fairness Doctrine is where I want to make my stand. I feel that once they take our voice away, it’s over. I also feel that a one day march wouldn’t do it , it would have to be converging on Washington and refusing to go home.

I'm with you Hildy. But as Rush goes, he can not be seen as the driving force. It would jeapordize his "entertainment" status. Once the march is planned, and nearing it's date (and mentioned briefly before) is when Rush can give a great boost and get the call out louder than other sources that will also make the call.

The bottomline is Rush is on our side but he can't become an official sponsor, if you will, without creating some legal avenue for the Dems to call it a contribution in-kind. I know, I know, from Hollywood to academia to MSM, etc. they all are essentially in-kind contributions for the Left but you know the reality we deal with.

I am telling you though that I could honestly envision a 5 to 10 million person march that would dwarf anything DC has ever seen and it would cause more than just a few liberal heart attacks along the way, it would change the course of American history.

Media offices should be one of the first places for protesters to gather. Trust me, they will cover it then.

I agree..I’d sleep in the street...I’m not kidding..it’s time...And as far as Rush goes...entertainment? Everything in his life has led to this moment. He can change history...if he wants to. I don’t understand what you’re talking about, contribution...he’d be organizing people..this would have nothing to do with Republicans..SCREW THEM ALL.. I’m sick of just about all of them.

Ya really think it’ll help.....I don’t. In American history, this has been a tactic that has worked. I think a General Strike is more potent, but runs the risk of failure. We lack leaders, and what an opportunity for Leaders to come forth.

How about ten million? Twenty million?

Too many of us cannot get to Washington or can’t afford to go. Not strategically wise to all gather in the same rain barrel.

Monday morning July 6th.

Millions of gun owners fill the streets surrounding the nearest Federal office building or Courthouse. Concealed carry or empty holster, pitchfork or axe handle. All legal and a lot more visible. spokespersons and video bloggers at each location.

Should happen this year not next. 2010 will be too late.

>>So what do you want to do, sit around and bitch and moan?<<

I agree, people have to begin standing up for America.

I, just like thousands of others, email, call, fax, write letters to our elected officials and it does absolutely no good.

Hey y'all, were dealing with an elitist group of power hungry, money grubbin individuals who care nothing for our national security.

Oh they say that they care. They pretend to do the will of the people, but wave a freakin dollar bill in front of their face and they'll sell their momma out.

It's time to band together. Form a conservative party or a nationalist party whos platform is America First.

Millions of illegals, thousands of H1B visa's, willy nilly spending by government, march to socialism.

I'm tellin ya folks, if we keep fishin from the same ol pond, were gonna keep catchin the same ol big mouth bass.

Vote conservative.......all the time. Not the lesser of two evils. These people in government may say they care, may even look like their sincere, say all the right things.

But most in government are beholden to the power structure. The almighty dollar speaks loud and clear to these hypocrites.

The last time we marched with thousands on Washington the media didn't cover it, so you need to expect that. The pro-life movement marches with tens of thousands every year and no one ever hears about it. With the paid off media we are living in a commie state and most people don't even know it.

I'm not trying to tell you not to do it, but your energy might be better spent by organizing a grassroots effort to educate people about the media meltdown and what it has done to our country.

Consider the logistics alone.

Great suggestions. Here are some others:

Barter and trade as much as possible.

Pay cash if you can (some will give you better price paying cash).

Shop at garage sales, thrift stores and craft fairs.

Start a garden. Trade the produce

Hunt if you know how. Trade the meat.

Here is a site where people can GIVE and GET stuff for free. I’ve done both on it a lot. (I even had someone who wanted vines I’d cleard out of my garden ... she dries them and makes wreaths with them, sells them at craft fairs).

http://www.freecycle.org/group/US/?noautodetect=1

They won’t listen to us. Starve them out!

That would be the most effective and immediate protest. The worst that could happen is we would all have to pay it later back with interest. It's no worse than the people abandoning their homes and jobs for the atlas shrugged movement.

Most folks can’t make it to DC for one reason or another

You’re better of trying to do something like Glen Beck did with his support the troops rallies in different cities and states

You’ll have a better chance on getting people to show up when it’s closer to their homes

This really is central to Atlas Shrugged, Ghandi and Dr. King's non-violent, non-cooperation successes. I think you are on to something, and it's so much easier when we have such a "Shovel Ready" economy.

Yup. One of the turning points of the civil rights movement (way before it became perverted/inverted) was the images of peaceful protesters being attacked with bully clubs, dogs, etc. While one doesn't know exactly what would happen the key is to have as many cell phone cameras (and any others) documenting everything possible such as police (not a given enemy until proven as such), the size of the crowd, the strident but peaceful nature, the actions of counter-protesters, recording the media recording us, etc.

Cameras, cameras, cameras are so important. Oral testimony will never trump actual video evidence plus cell phone cameras can be uploaded to the web or an alternate server so that confiscation will not necessarily mean a video has been eliminated.

I think Chicago would be a key spot because of the corruption that sprung from there and moved to DC and headlined this mess and because Daley would probably copy, in a little lower key, the same actions his dad did 41 years ago. No need to do anything but show up with banners - Daley and goons would take care of the rest.
