During the 1929 Depression, "experts" were claiming we wouldn't pull out of it until 1958.In terms of the equities market that was just about exactly right.(actually a few years earlier, but not much.) You did know that, didn't you?.

In my area, indoor plumbing was not common until the early 1960s. I was told that by a plumber, who saw his first indoor bathroom in the military in the 1950s and decided he was going to bring it to the folks back home.

In terms of the equities market that was just about exactly right.(actually a few years earlier, but not much.) You did know that, didn't you?.Been reading about the "Big D" and talking with survivors since the '60s so I do know a bit about those times. I was born in 1933, so remember a little of the fun times before the war. They were talking about jobs, not the market.
