The article was an example of the Associated Press structured pricing system. The “Basic” level tells you “What”. In order to get the other “W’s”, you need to get “Premium”, “Gold”, “Platinum”, or “Titanium” level.

“They have the biggest rattlers and cottonmouths down there. “

Yeah but I’ve never seen one at Walmart. Have run across them out hunting or such.

I don’t buy this, even pygmy rattlesnakes prefer to avoid people and sure won’t be going into a Walmart. Now Taco Bell is another story.

THIS JUST IN: The family of the snake is suing Richitelli for the fatal infection that caused the snake’s untimely death. The snake contracted a lethal dose of stupidity from the (alleged) bite.

What on earth is it with Florida? Three Wal-Mart snake attacks, two cases of guys throwing food at people, and a tasered emu.

And of course the ongoing saga of "Learning to Vote 101"....

Preventing this kind of thing is easier said than done. Wal mart has mostly open nursery areas in warm climates, like here in Knoxville, TN. Naturally, from time to time, just as in a garden, the critters are going to get into the plants and, making things worse, nature gave them very good camouflage. Any reasonable gardener knows this from experiences in his own garden and takes proper precautions, just as he should in the store.

What’s next, suing over a mosquito bite?

If it is, Bill Gates is in trouble.

Thats nothing a few months back some deputy tasered a wild boar, thankfully the neighbors saved him.

About a year ago one deputy tossed a towel on a gator lept on the back and got in critical condition. His buddy emptied his sidearm at the gator and missed every time.

Really you should come down and spend a couple weeks here ( outside of Disney ) and the stories would start to make sense :-)

I had a pygmy rattler in the trunk of a car I rented. Fortunately I didnt get struck when it lunged at me...and managed to beat it silly with a broom before I could remove it

Its not unusual for snakes to show up in unusual places in Florida.

And, yes, Wal-Mart does hold some liability in this...as a business they have to make sure their place is safe for its customers...and especially if they have had “snake issues” in the past

The deputy or the boar?

Both actually.

The Boar, which had been peacefully rooting up the flowers, just got pi$$ed off when he was tazered. The neighbors helped herd the boar into an open utility trailer.

That deputy clearly was missing a few synapses. Large wild boar. I’ll tazer it !
