What Is Science?
"Even if all the data point to an intelligent designer, such an hypothesis is excluded from science because it is not naturalistic."
Dr. Scott Todd, Kansas State University, Nature 401(6752):423, Sept. 30, 1999
What You Will Learn
Many people do not realize that science was actually developed in Christian Europe by men who assumed that God created an orderly universe. If the universe is a product of random chance or a group of gods that interfere in the universe, there is really no reason to expect order in nature. Many of the founders of the principle scientific fields, such as Bacon, Galileo, Kepler, and Newton, were believers in a recently created earth. The idea that science cannot accept a creationist perspective is a denial of scientific history...

The Adam and Eve question? I did. I’m getting bored, though—got any more?
Do you think somehow that the sciences of geology or biology or chemistry or physics are somehow changed or discredited because some theoretical physicist published some musings about the “multi-verse”?
If it is a productive hypothesis it will be embraced and expounded upon.
If it is not productive they will wonder “what was he smoking”.
That is how science works. We have a mechanism for sorting out the productive ideas from the useless ones.
Rhino, it appears you've stumbled onto the wrong website...do yourself a favor and learn up on what FR is all about, before you make yourself look even more foolish than you already have! Not that this is remotely possible.
Do you need a citation the sky is blue also?
No. But when someone says the sky is red I ask for a citation.
[[Do you need a citation the sky is blue also?]]
A peer reviewed one preferably, if it’s not ‘peer reviewed’ it’s not ‘science’
I see that you do not want both sides presented.
I do wonder at some of the handles and always supposed there was some sort of message there. Mine I thought was good advice I learned early in life. The tagline I learned a bit later, but both work for me.
Not only have I never called for removal of the religious courses, I have never proposed that they should teach both sides of the question.
So you really don’t know the difference between lie and allegory?
As for the other question, a Christian is one who follows the teachings of Jesus Christ, and tries not to be annoying to bystanders by wearing his faith out on his sleeve. I am a Christian.
Let’s see, you haven’t seen a lawsuit that’s forced creation from public schools...
then do a google...I suggest:
creation, lawsuit, public schools.
How has the earth been determined to not be at the center of the universe?
I’m asking a question that you asserted was conclusively proven by your own assertion.
[[I see that you do not want both sides presented. ]]
Both sides are fien as long as the other side isn’t rife with assinine bleeting points from the far left that have NO basis in reality
How do you think that creation was forced out of the schools to begin with? If it wasn’t direct lawsuits, it was the threat of them. Lawsuits are the evoatheists knee jerk reaction to anything that hints of intelligence in the classroom.
Do you know of schools where creation is taught and it is not illegal to teach it? Where’s that?

What about assinine bleeting points from the far right taht have NO basis in reality?
There are quite a few of the belligerently uninformed here!
I've already posted one that requires it.
That’s not an answer to the question.
In typical evo fashion....
[[How has the earth been determined to not be at the center of the universe?]]
Yard-Stick measurements- it’s true! I went to a meuseum, saw a newspaper from oh... 140 million bc, and some dude did a measurement when he was laid off from his auto makers job- I think he worked for Chrysler.
Read and get educated ...
So where does multiverse theory fit into your adolescent mentality?
Thanks for proving to your buddy Buck there’s absolutely nothing conclusive about the center of the universe, one way or another though! ;)
[[There are quite a few of the belligerently uninformed here!]]
Says the billigerently uninformed as he walks away waving his hand in dismissal
[[What about assinine bleeting points from the far right taht have NO basis in reality?]]
There certainly aren’t many posted here cold water- This site deals with facts and evidneces- Perhaps you’re thinking of another site- perhaps DC?
Oh, the Dover case. That’s where the ID’ers wanted to teach that God may be dead! Is that what you really want your kids taught in science class?
Where's that? What religion are they teaching in public schools?
LOL!!!!
Please do put me in your tagline...matter of fact Bucky, put that you’re in my head, in your tagline!
LOL!!!!
[[Can you answer with a statement of some kind?]]
Time flies like an arrow, Fruit Flies liek a banana
Another evidence that evos miss the obvious. They need a citation to prove what everyone can see with their own eyes on any random morning or evening?
Do you have a clue how ridiculous you look in trying to make yourself look objective and intellectual?
1. That apparenetly some people think science can intrude into religion but not the other way around.
2. It works.
3. Like everything else, the findings are on-going.
If you think that there’s no difference between a lie and an allegory and you believe that the Bible is an allegory, what exactly do you believe?
If its all allegory, there is no real sin, or need for redemption, or real Christ. How can you claim to believe in Christ if you dont even think that He was real?
Do you have a clue how ridiculous you look in trying to make yourself look objective and intellectual?
If there’s without a doubt one conclusive fact proven here tonight...
Ummmm...not at all.
You’re not the only one who thought that Rhino stumbled on the wrong website......
I have never seen a scientific study that supports that “It works.”
Would you support the opt out option for students in the public schools in regards to teaching creation instead of an outright ban on teaching creation in science classes? One that would allow creation to be taught along with evolution but not requiring that children attend?
OK, so following this to it’s logical conclusions allmendream...please explain the mysterious absence of lawsuits surrounding all these useless nonproductive musings...
manmade global warming, multiverse, string theory, studying the effects of prayer...after all your tax dollars are going down the drain too, I assume.
Could it be something other than science is at play here?
Is it ONLY about evidence as you suggest?
We have a mechanism for sorting out the productive ideas from the useless ones.
Ummmm in case you haven’t noticed, these aren’t exactly brand new ideas...so what exactly IS that allmendream?
I asked for a citation since you mispoke in your post. Rather than arguing over some general reference, I wanted a specific reference to show you your error. Don't you have a clue how rediculous you look making generalizing statements that are so easily proven to be in error?
Your work here is done Buck? LOL!
I did.
I see you have reading comprehension issues as well.
I answered your questions. Too bad you can’t comprehend them.
There’s a difference between presenting both sides and bashing conservatism.
You really could use a clue.
Nope. No answer to that question. As usual, only an answer to something I never asked.
Government spending on science is not the same thing as science.
I need not defend government spending to defend science.
The only work I ever did for the Government was as an Airman not as a scientist.
What religious classes are taught in public schools in your area?
This I’d like to see!
WHAT religious courses?
Nope, following the teachings of Christ isn’t it Buck.
And come to think of it Buck, Christ I think would rejoice in people that might be seen as annoying if it meant to the point that people actually understood what Christianity is!
I found the whole process somewhat annoying and even to a point quite disturbing before I was saved myself.
Ummmm...not even close to the question asked allmendream...not that a soul is shocked!
Again.
The question was why is there such a lack of lawsuits to silence the mutiverse theorists...
the string theorists....
the scientists studying the outcomes of prayer...
the pseudo-scientists asserting mand made global warming...
While there are myriad lawsuits to silence creationists?
[[only an answer to something I never asked.]]
Ah- but were you htinking it? That is the real quesiton
