In my view as an atheist, liberals would willingly give up all the rest as long as they had Christians to bash. They are truly frightening in their naked hatred, their violent fantasies about what they'd do--because they hate how vicious and hateful CHRISTIANS supposedly are. You've never seen hate until you've seen a liberal with a few beers in him or her going on about the Pope, priests, and people who are devoted to the Bible.
This is why the dems truly are the party of children. Sometimes we get worked up and swept away in the feeling of a moment, but that's how liberals live every day--how do I FEEEEEEL about this? They praise intellectuals not because they like people who think, but because intellectuals give them a reference for their views--"This smart guy (who is actually smart about one specific subject and not some well-rounded person, in most cases) agrees with me, therefore, I'm an intellectual by association." They are all about living in this imaginary world of theirs.
I know this is a minority opinion, but it wouldn't surprise me if the Republicans take back Congress in the next election and there will be a noticeable difference in the polls beforehand. When some (some) liberals get in that booth, they will vote based on the fear of what they have loosed on the world. And of course they will be the loudest voices calling the takeback the return of fascism...and they will be secretly relieved.
I couldn’t agree more. Personally, I am best described as an agnostic. I am culturally Christian (if that makes any sense) and have tremendous respect for the faith and moral values of anyone with Judeo/Christian beliefs.
I may not personally be a man of faith at this point, but I am frightened by the never-ending attack on Christian culture and values. Those are the bedrock on which the West stands, or stood. Our devotion to freedom and individuality is unique in the world and is tied directly to our religious history.
In the 20th century, atheist statist totalitarianism resulted in the deaths of well over 100 million people. Having a narcissistic Leftist running the show here, as well as those types controlling our culture and academia, just scares the hell out of me.
