Attorney Gloria Allred has injected herself into the wildly controversial story of octo-mom Nadya Suleman.
According to the Long Beach Press-Telegram, Gloria Allred and Angels in Waiting foundation founder Linda West-Conforti are offering to provide free housing, counseling and medical servicesAngels in Waiting Offers to Help Octo-Mom Nadya Suleman to the Suleman family for at least six months.
Prior to the Angels in Waiting offer, Gloria Allred tried to help the octuplets in another way.
Gloria Allred feels, as do many, that it may not be in the best interest of the children to stay with Nadya Suleman and that she therefore ought to be investigated.
To that end, Allred filed a complaint with the California Department of Children and Family Services. On the same day, however, Linda West-Conforti e-mailed Suleman with her offer.
Now West-Conforti and Allred have apparently joined forces to force Suleman's hand.
The Angels in Waiting offer is yet another plot twist in what has become one of the most talked-about stories of the year.
When the story of the birth of the California octuplets first broke, the media understandably jumped on it, as it was only the second time that eight babies have ever been born at one time in the United States.
In order for the offer to stay on the table, Nadya Suleman must agree to it by next Thursday.

Not daddies. All the children had the same sperm doner. He was supposedly a friend who agreed to supply his sperm.
I couldn't disagree more! If there were any semblance of a stable family, there might be a chance for those kids, but their mother is a media grabber, and frankly, I wouldn't be surprised to find she was trying to have even more at some point in the future.
Those babies could be adopted out, with the stipulation that if, when they're 16 or older, they ever wanted look for their siblings, or their mother, their adoptive parents would have the information for them to contact the proper authorities.
I frankly think it's disgusting that the media is crawling all over the story, willing to give this woman whatever she wants. She did this as a publicity stunt hoping to cash in and make some big bucks. She's just using those babies as her ticket to the big time.

Do you have any idea what a $1.25 million house in Calif is like? Well it's not much. I had a house in Calif that sold new for $32,000 in 69. Sold for $132,000 in 79. Now would be about a million. Anyway the wood was so green and as it dryed out it twisted. So the builders came along and cut the studs in half then cleated them straight. Then there is black tar paper put on the outside and chicken wire and a thin coat of stucco. Usually no insulation and just sheet rock inside. The prices of houses in Calif are way inflated.
I pray something good for the children comes out of this whole sordid mess.
But what about the other 6 children?
And I still haven’t heard who paid for the in-vitro procedure. It ain’t cheap!
But even in California, the home prices are reversing - in a big way.

I read that she's been receiving over $168,000 in disability payments because of a work-related back injury in 1999.
I doubt if Octo-mom can be coaxed into anything. If she doesn't accept this offer, child protective services will have to monitor the care she gives those babies. Once they get involved, I don't see how they'll let her keep the kids without giving proper care.

I’m not going to say absolutely yes or no, but I don’t think that 8 same aged children will ever get enough attention if they are raised altogether. Human babies were never meant to be raised in large same age cohorts. On the other hand, I do understand wanting them to be together. It’s a quandary.
Especially in Nadya Suleman's situation as it is now with no extended family, friends, or church....
Plus her parents are already overwhelmed.
This is a good offer for her right now, and I hope she says yes.

For the kid’s sake. But something tells me she won’t.
Adopt the babies out to loving normal families that can afford to give them a dad and a mom, a house, their own room, medical insurance, a childhood, a college education and a faith, either Jewish or Christian and you will have done a good thing.
See the website for Angels in Waiting. They are NOT in it for the money, they want to be there for the babies, to make sure they survive this horrible mother.
