Last night the Hannity Show said that the dems are discussing a new MILEAGE TAX on how many miles we drive.

>>>>>> apply for a position at the Whitehouse, if you are not already employed there <<<<<<<<
Seems like it is you who wants to stir up a lot of unnecessary angst for no particular reason.
And just to be clear, your arguments are irrational.
But really it’s more like they’re a-rational, since they address not a single point which can be argued on the merits or on the facts.
To put your fingers in your ears and repeatedly yell “It’s politics! It’s politics!” just makes you look ridiculous.
That's an environmentalist's dream. They'll raise the tax rate if you drive over a certain limit, say 50 miles or advocate for monthly travel quotas before they begin charging more per mile.
Under this plan, ALL ROADS BECOME TOLL ROADS.
This looks like a trial balloon, that just popped (for now).
Und, vere are you goink anyvay? Do you need to go zere? Anyvay, do you haff your papers?
Seriously, for those of us without GPS - will we be ordered to buy one for our vehicles? And if so, why can't we get a coupon to get one for free like the digital coupon for TV?
And if we don't have to get a GPS, how will they track our mileage. Will we have to go to a new government beauracracy station every Jan. 1st to have the Official Mileage Checker person post our mileage on Official Mileage Checker Form No. xxxxxxx?
And then after all the utilities (water and sewer bills) are in place, then if you aren’t paying city taxes they will ANNEX you and your taxes double. If you can’t pay those taxes, then you home is sold to highest bidder, after sheriff takes control, and you have to move losing any equity or payments you have made.
We don’t own anything anymore, just an interest in it, and a lawyer told me that years ago....this reminds me of the movie of the “Von Trappe” family in Austria called “The Sound of Music”..of course now there is no where to go to escape the coming NWO.
Nothing has popped, as they are testing the waters to see what will fly with the American People. If they have to change it and wait a little while to implement, just know they will still be working behind the scenes...like the UNFAIR FAIRNESS DOCTRINE.
you may want to see someone about that speech impediment.
Isn’t Oregon a mostly dem state? Do you think they will oppose “the one”?
Prediction .... modified odometers gonna be for sale .......:o)
Hopefully, but they haven’t been able to find a substitute for those leg monitors the prisoners wear on home arrest.
I agree that they will try again. Better buy a new car now, before something like this happens and while I can still access money.
They will know how fast you drove to get wherever you went.
The dems and the wackos just want to have more control and raise more money......This is the beginning of forcing everyone into URBAN CENTERS for stricter control. Straight out of the Lenin book. No travel, no info, no problem.
my husband installs clandestine gps systems in cars. ...... my fiance drives all over the country for work.......So. Who are you rooting for? Your husband or your fiance?
From what I've been reading of their message boards the libs in Oregon are in up arms over it too. The media talks about what a "success" it's been there without saying much about how few want it. I think if it got on the ballot it would pass overwhelmingly.
There are a number of gadgets out there from the gps in a cell phone that won’t allow it to operate if moving faster than 5mph and data loggers that show speed, acceleration etc and other driving habits. Only a matter of time before uncle sugar says such has to be on new cars.
Right now I drive 4 different old restored classics that let me commute cheap, as well my costs are a quarter of what it was with newer vehicles. I only have to register and inspect every 5 years and insurance is really minor cost with a 25+ year old vehicle.
Doing everything I can to keep my money from this socialist goobermints hands.
You just cannot get away from being condescending can you.
Just to be clear, you have not made one rational argument to support you position except that you are some kind of technological guru who says it is impossible. You have provided precious little information to explain why it is impossible except it would take years and cost way too much.
In 1959 it was impossible to go to the moon. In 1969 we were there.
Were not talking about time travel.
