The communists (REDs) are on a multi-front campaign, no?

I hope you are right.

My concern is that few know the truth. That Obama is still above a 50% approval rating speaks volumes as to how ignorant our fellow citizens are to economics and politics.

Dictatorships usually follow republics.

Obama kicks up White House entertaining

Mar 2 11:09 AM US/Eastern
By DARLENE SUPERVILLE
Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON (AP) - The White House is the place to be on Wednesdays.
Since the presidency changed hands less than six weeks ago, a burst of entertaining has taken hold of the iconic, white-columned home of America’s head of state. Much of it comes on Wednesdays.

The stately East Room, where portraits of George and Martha Washington adorn the walls, was transformed into a concert hall as President Barack Obama presented Stevie Wonder with the nation’s highest award for pop music on Wednesday.

A week before that, the foot-stomping sounds of Sweet Honey in the Rock, a female a cappella group, filled the East Room for a Black History Month program first lady Michelle Obama held for nearly 200 sixth- and seventh-graders from around the city.

Cocktails were sipped during at least three such receptions to date, all held on Wednesdays.

Bookending the midweek activity were a Super Bowl party for select Democratic and Republican lawmakers and a dinner for governors, the new administration’s first black-tie affair. It was capped with a performance by the 1970s pop group Earth, Wind and Fire. And a conga line.

The flurry of entertaining is in keeping with the Obamas’ promise to make the White House a more open place for everyone.

The governors’ dinner was “a great kickoff of what we hope will be an atmosphere here in the White House that is welcoming and that reminds everybody that this is the people’s house,” Obama told the state chief executives after they had dined on Maryland crab, Wagyu beef, Nantucket scallops and citrus salad.

“We are just temporary occupants. This is a place that belongs to the American people and we want to make sure that everybody understands it’s open,” he said.

More like they are at the center of our donut munching their way to the “big empty” that lies beyond.

I think I’ll make that my new tagline.

Jeez, finally somebody who gets it - welcome to the club.

I've been posting the message below on every thread I find that trumpets a falling Dow as if it's some cruel indictment of Hussein:

The rest of the country likes socialism! Jeez, how long will people continue to deny this fact? He’s got a 65%+ approval rating - they want .gov to buy up the means of production (with your money by the way) so as to control income (jobs) and wealth.

From now on, every time I see one of these "Dow drops X" threads, I'm gonna post how much Treasuries have increased (ie yields have dropped):

"More and more investors are seeking the safety of U.S. government debt," said Kevin Giddis, managing director of fixed income for Morgan Keegan & Co. "Why? Why not? I mean, what else are you going to do with your money?"

GET A CLUE PEOPLE!

I've said it countless times: DC is going to show NYC hedge funds & SV venture funds how it's really done. They're gonna get a 10-20x banger with $trillions of free credit deployed.

You have to hand it to them, it really is a master stroke. Instead of the normally messy activities associated with nationalization/confiscation, like shooting people, gulags, etc, they're simply going to acquire the means of production by purchasing them!

Why everyone cheers the dropping Dow as if it's some indictment of Hussein is beyond me. It just shows how much smarter their team is than the pathetic roster of conservatives.

Btw, Denninger is the saddest creature of all. He was convinced Hussein was a reform candidate who would come in and prosecute corruption. Little did he know that Hussein tailored his H&C message perfectly in order to get into position so as to leverage a pre-existing corrupt government to further his communist agenda.
