So Obama wants to talk to the people that executed women at soccer fields when the Taliban was in power in Afghanistan. Obama is a disaster and is becoming more unreal by the day. They are playing checkers while the rest of the world plays chess.

This is what I find fascinating. Most of the coverage coming from the traditional press is very negative with respect to Afghanistan. However, many others have said that Afghanistan isn't nearly as bad as it's portrayed. See the link to Max Boots' piece in Commentary Magazine.

I believe that Obama and his minions want to paint Afghanistan as a failure for several reason, not the least of which is to show that he can run a war better than GWB. Since victory is at hand in Iraq thanks to a strategy that was vehemently opposed by Obama, Obama has to build his bona fides somewhere else. Afghanistan is his only other choice.

I promise you, we'll be declaring "victory" in Afghanistan in 18 months or so, and all praise will go to Obama's "New Afghanistan Strategy."
