I can stand Obama's crooks as Cabinet member strategies. I can accept his dissing Prime Minister Brown with 25 DVD's.
I can even stand and waive bye-bye to the free market economy and welcome in Socialism.
But now Obama is going too far. A 300 percent tax increase on french cheese?
Intolerable.
From what I have heard, on his campaign aircraft Obama was known for cutting the cheese.
As long as he leaves Brie out the equation.... ;)
Arugula, Roquefort, and Roasted-Squash Salad
1 1/4-pound butternut squash, peeled, halved, and seeds reserved
1 tablespoon light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon cayenne
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1/3 cup walnut oil or extra-virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 ounces Roquefort or Cabrales (Spanish blue cheese)
2 bunches arugula (1/2 pound)
is there a Congressional German Caucus? Or maybe they have a White Caucus? Can I join? I am so glad that our congress manages to be above race and ethnicity in all their dealings.

THAT sounds wonderful.
This will cause the French to love him even MORE than they already do. It fits.
It does. I was gonna suggest that salad be the first course of a fine meal with Wagyu beef.
But I don’t have the taxpayers to buy it for me as Obama does. So I’ll settle for your screen name.
Just last month we tried a Quebec soft goats milk cheese (a previously unknown brand) and it was very much like a fine piece of lamb.
We don't need no stinkin' frankenreich kass.
Something tells me the Congressional French Caucus is not a group of “French-Americans” celebrating their identity; it’s s group of people who support good relations with France.
My initial reaction to any tariff is negative, but if this is a retaliatory tariff I don’t have as big a problem with it.
I think there’s merit to the argument we should unilaterally reduce trade barriers, but if we can use our leverage to get other countries to reduce theirs as well that’s a better result in the end.
Agreed/ I was struck by the same thing, when the article noted that:
"Oberstar, who co-chairs the 100-member congressional French caucus founded to counter anti-France sentiment around the Iraq war"
People weren't anti-french to point out the total, complete and utter despicability of the French Government...and for the purported US Congress to not acknowledge that, but try and paper it over...is despicable and traitorous.
They constitute an additional set of 5th columnist members of the infamous Axis of Weasels...
Good for Bush. If the euroweenies want to ban US beef imports they can eat their own freaking cheese!
Will Obama be taxing the lastest BIG BUSINESS,
embryonic stem cell research??
I've been known to post before reading TFA before, but come on people.
*** FRENCH CULTURE AND POLITICS PING LIST *** FREEPMAIL ME IF YOU WANT TO JOIN ***
Obama bHo is embarking on an anti-European strategy, but to what end?
Dissing America’s two greatest allies and trading partners ( he threw Israel under the bus already), first by trying to marginalize Gordon Brown’s visit, now with this anti-French measure.
I would love to see a bHo/Sarko throwdown, I have no doubts as to who will whup who’s (_!_). Obvama is a weakling and a wimp, Sarko is really tough.
It's one thing to play Euro cheese against American beef. Apparently, that wasn't enough. Now the weenies in DC want a 100% tariff against European motorcycles too. What do motorcycles have to do with beef? Doubling the prices will simply put lots of dealers in the U.S. out of business.
