Scalia: You need 4 votes for Obama eligibility case
WND ^ | 3-10-09 | Bob Unruh

A lawyer lobbying the U.S. Justice Department and the U.S. Supreme Court for a review of Barack Obama's qualifications to be president says a key conservative justice has hinted that another conservative justice has been voting against hearing the dispute. According to Orly Taitz, a California attorney working through her Defend Our Freedoms Foundation on several cases challenging Obama, said she was presented with an opportunity to ask a question of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia yesterday. The issue of Obama's eligibility has been raised before the Supreme Court at least four times already but has yet to be given a single hearing. Cases have been brought by Taitz, Philip Berg, Cort Wrotnowski and Leo Donofrio.

If you associate with folks who believe Bush and Cheney were responsible for the 911 attacks you are in fact a LOON!
But I don't associate with folks who believe Bush and Cheney were responsible for the 911 attacks.
Your implying that I do doesn't make it true.

I'm not trying to hide it.
BTW, I never said you were trying to "hide" anything.
Once again, since you insist on trying to twist things yet again...

Ah, well, it's already been shown that you're attempting to establish guilt by association. A new sentence isn't going to help.

Implying something isn't "hiding" something. It's an insinuation...to convey an idea indirectly.

And before I forget...
To the American public it represents a position that we know we can't compete in the arena of ideas.
How do you know this?

You didn't answer my question.

I know this by the lack of coverage this conspiracy has garnered amongst serious thinking conservatives. As I've previously stated why isn't Rush, Palin, Jindal, Shelby, Thompson, Hunter, Hannity, Krauthammer, Hume, Coulter, Malkin, Rove, Kristol, Joe the Plumber, Bush I and II not addressing this issue? Why do you suppose, conservatives who freely and frequently label Obama a communist and a socialist stop short when it comes to joining the Birther conspiracy crowd? Rush can't stand the man and openly hopes for his failure but even he refuses to board the crazy train. No serious minded conservative wants to be associated with conspiracy kooks.

PLEASE! That doesn't mean squat! "Serious thinking conservatives" haven't touched a whole host of issues until it became "public knowledge" and then they showed much angst for not having covered the issue from the start.
Think "Air National Guard" and "Kinko's".

Think “stained blue dress” and “Clinton”.

I used single quote marks to indicate it was not a direct quote but rather the essence of his statement as I understood it. You are absolutely correct that Scalia did not say directly 'get a fourth'. Below are the two statements from Scalia, as reported in the WND article related from Atty Taitz:

[[ "Scalia stated that it would be heard if I can get four people to hear it. He repeated, you need four for the argument. I got a feeling that he was saying that one of these four that call themselves constitutionalists went to the other side," Taitz said.

“’Tell me what to do, what can I do, those soldiers [her plaintiffs] can be court-martialed for asking a legitimate question, who is the president, is he legitimate.' He said, 'Bring the case, I'll hear it, I don't know about others.'" ]]

Thank you, Sandy, for allowing me the opportunity to clarify.

Ok please explain why Sarah Palin, who openly attacked Obama for his terrorist ties to Bill Ayers refuses to address his eligibility for the presidency? See it doesn't make sense. President Bush controlled the best intelligence agency on the planet but refused to use it to insure the highest office in the land wouldn't be occupied by a foreigner? Do you see where your conspiracy theory fails at every level?

I can't speak for somebody else. You seem more capable in that arena than I.

President Bush controlled the best intelligence agency on the planet but refused to use it to insure the highest office in the land wouldn't be occupied by a foreigner?
Oh, yeah! Give the libtards another reason to bash him.
"LOOK! We told you! He's using intelligence agencies on American Citizens."
And perhaps he thought the respective political parties were responsible for that and not him. And if they blew it then said party would pay the price, which is the potential problem for the Dems.

Do you see where your conspiracy theory fails at every level?
It isn't "my" conspiracy. Hell, it isn't even a conspiracy because the whole debate is out in the open. It seems to me that the only conspiring going on is in the efforts to hide the information necessary to end this debate.

According to Taitz's account of the meeting, Scalia didn't even remember the previous cases.
I asked, tell me what happened before, why Lightfoot v Bowen was not heard, what about Berg, Wrotnownski, Donofrio- he had a bewildered look on his face, he kept saying- I don't know, I don't remember, I don't know, I don't remember.

President Bush had his faults but national security was not one of them. Why would a president who took heat for invading Iraq, domestic wire tapping, GITMO and Abu Ghrab give a damn about taking heat for using his intelligence agency to expose a candidate from an opposing party? Again your argument doesn't pass the common sense test. For years we heard about Hillary's FBI files and how she used them to coerce politicians to do her bidding. Why didn't she use these super secret files to expose Obama? Don't tell me Bush and Hillary are in on it too.

Well, I tried to give you some possibilities. Again, I can't speak for somebody else.

Why didn't she use these super secret files to expose Obama?
Perhaps because a file didn't exist at that time. He was elected after Filegate.

Awwww, come ON. You were such fun! Nessie, like those files, was only a step away.

I would like to say much more to you publicly, but I'd also like to keep my posting privileges.
