I quoted Dobrica Cosic, Serbia’s statesman. Who is not allowed here and where is the list?

On Illyrians, why don’t you tell me where did the Albanians come from?

Did they not support the butcher of the Balkans, Mladic...?

And, Oric never did anything wrong.

And, Oric never did anything wrong.

Oric did some bad things to so they are all equally guilty. Is that what you are trying to say?

Why didn't they burn Serbian Churches as well then?

The Communists destroyed Churches of every type, everywhere they found them. Go learn something.

Lie debunked.

Wrong on both counts as always, Bonly boy.

Karadzic, Mladic, Arkan and other Serbian thugs were communists so they burned Catholic Churches? Is that you explanation?

It’s nice that you’re working toward another banning, Bonly boy.

.......Yes, Honorary Serv [sic!], there is a conspiracy by everyone against God’s chosen people, the Serbs....

WRONG! There is a muslim conspiracy against ALL non-muslims, with the goal of muslim world domination!! And they especially attack those who are the most in their way, such as Serbs, Americans, Russians, Indians, and Israelis.

And the 19th century English way of saying “Serbia”, which was “Servia”, was derived from the Greek pronunciation. Modern (and liturgical) Greek pronounces the letter “beta” as “veta”.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Servia

So the name “Serb” has NOTHING to do with “slave” or “servant”. {Perhaps some of my Serbian friends can help me with where the word might come from—I used to know.)

Neither does the name “Slav”, which has to do with “word” or even “glory”, NOT “slave”. Slava tebje Gosopodi!!!!

Once again, we have an overly-long disruptor-infested thread, which has wondered WAY off topic. And once again, it is all due to just ONE disruptor, Ronly Bonly Jones, now going by the screen name “nameless-fool”.

Begone, disruptor!!!!

We know you despise the Serbs for standing against the same people who gave us 9/11.

Oops. Serbia, Iran to sign free trade agreement.

And the Serbs are selling arms to the new Iraqi government at a record pace.

It’s called the marketplace, Chumley.

I agree with the “marketplace” part. Serbia has the sovereign right to enter into an agreement with whomever it wishes. That’s why the BS about the Serbs standing against Islam rings hollow.

The Serbs continue to stand against Islamic states being formed in Bosnia and Kosovo.

Is it your assertion that Iran is funding the Serbs efforts by engaging them in trade? Because if that’s not your assertion, then how is it that the Serbs are funding Islams efforts by engaging Iran in trade?

The only assertion I’m making is that the whole image of the “noble Serb standing against the Muslim horde” is presented as a matter of convenience, not principle.

We destroyed Serbia's economy and later infrastructure with sanctions and bombing. They are doing whatever they have to get on their feet re the economy, as are we here in the US.

Add to that the fact that they have a president, Boris Tadic, who was trained by John McCain's IRI to do what he is told.

Ever look at who else trades with Iran? It includes us!

And then there are those who have directly invested in Iran in recent years:

Firms from over 50 countries have invested in Iran, with Asia and Europe receiving the largest share. Asian firms have invested over $11.6 billion in 190 Iranian projects, with those from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) leading the way, followed by Singapore, Indonesia and Oman. Over 20 European countries, particularly Germany, the Netherlands and Spain, made investments worth over $10.9 billion in 253 projects. The UK, Turkey, Italy and France also have had a great share in Iranian investments. Companies from Canada, Panama, the USA and Jamaica are also involved in seven economic projects in Iran, valued over $1.4 billion. Investors from Mauritius, Liberia and South Africa have invested a combined total of $8 billion in Iran. In addition, Australia has invested $682 million in an Iranian project.

And then there is Israel's allies, Iran's trading partners Serbia is also the second largest supplier of arms and munitions to Israel.

Point is that for all the rhetoric, everybody is "trading with Iran" including us.

A better gauge of "intentions" is where Iran is investing her money and why. Albania calls for Iran investment

Even assuming that your “everyone does it” argument is applied correctly, it doesn’t contradict my point.

So defending one’s homeland and one’s people is now called “a matter of convenience” in your book?

That’s interesting.

Not very useful to know, mind you, but interesting nevertheless.

Don’t put words in my mouth. You know exactly what I meant, and simply think that acting stupid about it will make it go away.

"Even assuming that your “everyone does it” argument is applied correctly, it doesn’t contradict my point."

When I first heard that bit about "trade with Iran", I had a similar reaction as you did. Then, I did my homework and it surprised me that everyone was doing it, including us -- and that was my point.

As for judging "the Serbs" based on the actions of their leadership -- especially a leadership that we in the US helped install -- it is less fair & accurate than judging you or I as "the Americans" for the actions of Clinton or Obama. Not everyone agrees with what is being done, but they can't stop it either.

One of my ancient relatives -- a man nicknamed Njegos -- was considered "the Shakespeare of the Balkans". His work was so good that Goethe learned the Serbian language to translate it into German. For more than a century, Njegos's Mountain Wreath was considered a classic. Njegos' books are now banned in Bosnia & elsewhere for being "too anti-Muslim" because they describe the Serb & Montenegrin suffering and hatred for "the Turk" (Moslems).

Soros and his allies have been far more effective at book banning and psychological warfare than the communists ever were!

WRONG! There is a muslim conspiracy against ALL non-muslims, with the goal of muslim world domination!! And they especially attack those who are the most in their way, such as Serbs, Americans, Russians, Indians, and Israelis.

And it just so happened that Serbia through JNA attacked Slovenia and Croatia at the time. We believe you so much. And leave the Russians who are arming the Iranians alone, the Russians (your step-brothers) are loving Islam:

""If a woman runs around and if a man runs around with her, both of them are killed," Kadyrov told journalists in the capital of this Russian republic.

The 32-year-old former militia leader is carrying out a campaign to impose Islamic values and strengthen the traditional customs of predominantly Muslim Chechnya, in an effort to blunt the appeal of hardline Islamic separatists and shore up his power. In doing so, critics say, he is setting up a dictatorship where Russian laws do not apply.

Some in Russia say Kadyrov's attempt to create an Islamic society violates the Russian constitution, which guarantees equal rights for women and a separation of church and state. But the Kremlin has given him its staunch backing, seeing him as the key to keeping the separatists in check, and that has allowed him to impose his will."

Off topic but Slav /slave, serv and servant are related. Google "Servus," it's latin.
