WASHINGTON, Mar 10, 2009 (UPI via COMTEX) -- U.S. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., says he's ready to work with President Barack Obama, the man who dashed his hopes for the White House last year.

From issues involving Afghanistan and Iraq to military procurement reform, McCain says he is ready to work with the White House, Politico reported. Last week, he had a breakfast meeting with Defense Secretary Robert Gates, appeared with the president at a White House media event and discussed how to squelch budget earmarks with Vice President Joe Biden.

"These are terrible, perilous times, so I will seek ways to work with the president of the United States," McCain in his interview with the Washington publication. "I don't want him to fail in his mission of restoring our economy."

Individual states need to insure that they have closed primaries so that the GOP candidate actually represents conservative ideas.

“McCain says he’s ready to work with Obama”

I guess that means he’s wearing knee pads.

It’s stories like these that make me believe we were forced to take McCain as our nominee.

McCain is a disgrace to America and the Republicrat Party is full of leftists like this Vietnam 'hero.'

Hell, anyone can be a prisoner of war, but some are willing to fight to the death to avoid capture.

And just yesterday, McCain said about earmarks ...

Does anyone care what McCain says about anything?

He is not finished breaking it lord McCain, but you have always been available to tear down what the liberals missed. Guess you need those independent moderate liberal votes in the next election. Nice job you and Bama did to end 'earmarks'.

LOL. You are too much. I can tell McCain is under your skin

Honestly, I welcome him claiming he wants to work with Obama publically as long as every so called attempt to work together breaks down with McCain complaining about the final bill he votes against, on the Sunday talk shows like he is now. What is saving us from McCain is Pelosi.

Unfortunately one of these days he will actually try to push an Obama/Pelosi bill I fear.

Did McCain also roll over on his back and display his soft, furry underbelly?

Damn rabscuttle...you sure must hate McCain! Rather than posting articles over more PERTINENT issues that are more pressing than your little personal vendetta against McCain, you choose to deluge this site with “hate McCain” articles...
